I don’t believe what coach is calling brass is all “old brasss” anymore. I can tell on my new Spooky Eyes Duffle that some of the hardware is actually brass and some, specifically the dog leash clips on the straps, is gold plated. I love the bag but I feel like I’ve been cheated on the hardware as I really love the brass and anything plated eventually chips and peels.

Thanks for sharing your opinion! I do think the new brass hardware looks much flimsier than the old brass. My peony bandit 39 had just a tiny spot of white on one of the feet; looks like the color will eventually wear off, if not careful. Since it's 50% off I don't mind, but besides avoiding black copper, now I may have to dodge bags with a lot of hardware in general! What a disappointment...and now the MTO rogues cost a fortune too! Maybe it's a good time to finally save some $$

I think all the hardware is plated now. I think the silver hardware is silver underneath, but the "brass" is also silver. Of course the gunmetal and black copper are also silver... I don't think any of the "brass" is solid brass but that's a question for CS!

My two reveals. Rogue 25 in Navy embossed with SMOOTH floral print interior. Its LOVE. Sooooo light. I could easily carry this thru fall. At first the tan underside of the shoulder straps seemed odd but it matches the "Coach" that is part of the interior. Still would have preferred burgundy. Anyway, a keeper!
Second, regular size Rogue in Ice Pink. I love the Ice Pink exterior. It's extremely hard to capture. Put the charm on it to give some color context. However, Coach customer service indicated the interior was lilac. Clearly that's not the case and I find the interior color to be very dull. In my opinion it takes away from the beauty of the Ice Pink exterior color. If you see the underside color of the shoulder strap, I was hoping the interior would be that color but it's not. I'm really on the fence about this one. I love the exterior color but I'm very disappointed in the flat tannish color of the interior which already shows a mark from glue. Imagine if it was a true lilac. But alas, no. This one will probably go back. If I get one of these, it would be once it goes on sale, if that ever happens.

Added another rogue to my collection,Peony tea rose, I love everything about this bag. Loved it even more that I got a great deal on it 40% during the preview of the summer sale.[emoji16][emoji16]View attachment 4084039

I pulled the trigger on a Rogue 39 during the SAS - ordered online to use "rebate site", too. I have all the other sizes except the Rogue brief, but I liked that this was more purse-like and would still fit my laptop. Don't think I'll like the thin straps, though - will definitely have to put on a novelty strap to feel more secure carrying that size.

I haven't seen a lot of posts on the 39 - anyone else use one?

Oh congrats! I love the embossed leather. Very cool! I like the color of the ice pink much better in your photos than on Coach website haha I understand your disappointment in the interior, the lilac would have been lovely. But I do like the tan! I feel like it looks very chic and sophisticated with the tan. Oh boy ice pink may get added to my list of colors to watch [emoji23] Good luck on deciding!

I use the novelty straps for my rogue 25s. Super comfortable and can shorten them if need be. I find the regular straps connected to be very uncomfortable.

Lulu and Buttons on Etsy has some really pretty ones that are very nice and come with a variety of hardware choices.

Thanks for the suggestions! Sadly, I tested my Rogue with a novelty strap I had for another bag and it just isn’t going to work for me. Even with a shorter strap and worn crossbody, the rigid handles flop around...I much prefer hand straps attached to the outside of the bag so they can fall down out of the way when not in use. So I’ll be un-joining the Rogue club. I love the bag but practicality trumps beauty for me!

Ordered the Edie 28 in Marine and think that might work better for me.

I have 2 Rogues that I'm considering selling for this very reason. The rogue satchel on the other hand is great. I wish they hadn't discontinued it, I think it was underrated.
