Here's my new addition. I got the black patchwork first and loved how beautiful it is, but the bag seems more seasonal. Then I saw the lighter patchwork, and fell in love. I didn't think I'd like this colors/pattern combination, but it is very unique and wearable at the same time.....I can also carry it year-round. Pics are not great with bad lighting, but it is very pretty in person.

that is absolutely beautiful. Enjoy

There's a purple one?! Do you have a picture?
It's black and purple. By just looking online I wouldn't have purchased it, but in store and without the harsh super white lighting (let's face it when will the bag ever be viewed under the same condition?), the patchwork is a lot more subdued and stylish. Hard to explain... or maybe the store lighting is just more seductive lol. It reminds me of 70s Fendi when they were doing more one of a kind bags.

I kinda wanted a black background tote with some colorful contrast or details.

It's beautiful, congrats! Do you remember the sale price and style #? I ordered the saddlebag in this patchwork and the purple tea rose dinky 24.

Thanks! Does the back of the bag look the same? I'm trying to decide on having my SA keep an eye out for a returned one since it's sold out. Plus my saddlebag and dinky are still "processing" which knowing my luck means they well be out of stock.
I do believe it's the same on both sides, perhaps in different pattern mix.

Congrats! This Rogue is really unique, especially the embroidery on the sides. Enjoy!

I finally purchased a 25 Rogue in Saddle and even though she's dreadfully heavy, I love her! However, I'm finding the shorter handles to be a problem. They're really hard, so it's not comfortable to carry the bag with the handles resting on my arm. So, I'm using it as a shoulderbag only. But what to do with the short handles? I tucked them into the side pockets but it makes getting things in and out of those pockets a pain, and I really use those heavily. I also noticed that an imprint of the handles was starting to show up on the sides. I also tried just leaving them out, but they're really in the way and they are causing the leather along the top edge to curl. SO, I'm seriously thinking of just removing those handles. The leather that connects them to the bag is thin enough that I can just cut through them and remove it. Do you think this is too drastic? Has anyone done this? Obviously it'll kill any resale value, but I love the bag, so I'm probably not going to sell it. Thoughts?

Ok - so you are asking for thoughts....and personally, unless you're very into modifying expensive bags and you're incredibly good at it.....this sounds insane to me. Part of the beauty of this bag includes its multi-use handles - flipping them in or out of the bag via long-handle / shoulder use, or using the bag as a handheld satchel. I can't see taking a bag like this and cutting off these gorgeous handles. It's part of the beauty and style of the bag. Yes, it's too drastic. Buy another bag.

I'd like to share a little "experiment" I tried with one of my first Coach bags a few years ago. I'm posting two photos that I "borrowed" from an eBay listing just to make it easier to describe how I butchered a perfectly, stunning bag.

The two pics are of the Legacy American Icon, style #19997, from about three or four years ago...

The first pic is the bag's front view and the other is an overhead view of the bag's opening. You'll notice there are two types of closures -- one is a simple built in snap closure and the other is belt strap which has belt holes and a buckle, going along the bag opening, horizontally. The function of the belt is to supplement the closing of the bag.

As soon as I brought the bag home I played around with carrying the bag; fiddling with the closures and wearing it with the belt NOT buckled, but with the opening snapped shut. Anyway, the belt was getting on my nerves and I knew I didn't want it just hanging there, unbuckled -- it looked ridiculous. So, I took my large kitchen scissors and cut off the belt right where it attached to the sides of the bag on the seam. MAJOR MISTAKE!! It looked hideous and was useless for reselling or even wearing in public, lol! I now use it for stashing reading material or some useless trinkets I own. I can post the pic on here but would need to do it when I'm organizing my closet.

I did add some drama to my story, but I figured you may relate to the circumstances. IF I were able to turn back time, I would simply have returned it to the store! Good luck with whatever you end up doing.

Below are the pics of the front of the bag and the other is the closeup of the belt that I butchered, haha. I'll have to post my own botched experiment soon.

Moderator, I hope it was okay to post someone else's pics for my post. If not, please delete them.

So there is a black/gold Rogue on sale on the Nordstrom website. Could it be the first generation Rogue with gold/brass hardware? I ordered it but will take it back if not.

I just looked -- I believe it IS the first generation Rogue, if you're referring to size (vs. the small one - Rogue 25, or the huge Rogue 36) and I think the black was one of the original colors -- is that what you meant? I don't want to guarantee anything, though. I only replied since this is not the Authenticate This forum.

It's not a bad price -- about $200 off the original! Hope you love it!

Hmm...the picture advertised is not the first generation black rogue, but the description says "black/gold". The additional model pics show a totally different bag. Looks like the Taxi tote. I hope it's the first generation like you want.

I was talking to my SA last week and she mentioned the little inventory they had left at JAX was gone. Luckily I was able to get mine in September.
