Hmm….I felt like the croc Rodeo was softer than the burgundy lambskin…but I also think that bag will soften with use. This is my first Balenciaga in a very long time so ….we shall see. I think the croc with gold hw etc and the multiple uses of the bag is just amazing. I love, love my BV Andiamo, but it is not as versatile. Plus, I rarely buy black handbags! I think I just have one Chanel left in black. And I wear black all the time….so funny.

Definitely the Rodeo is more versatile with the ways the bag can be worn, and transformed by the flap closure and the way the front droops down. For me, Demna has made black Balenciaga's colour so the black Rodeo looks most on-brand.
Yes! I actually got it from Bergdorfs but it didn’t come with the shoulder strap 😮 so they told me to return and reorder…
I went to Bal yesterday (tried to go to Chanel and was appalled that you need an appointment to get in..I mean get real! I was like ...even an Sat and sun with all the foot traffic on Rodeo?
I knew they started this obnoxious policy at Chrome Hearts..but Chanel? The guard said they might just let me in but I'm Black and I told him I highly doubt that with the usual heat I get at the average stores on Rodeo...he was to and agreed but said it was worth a shot if I had to get in, but I was just going to molest a jumbo..the quilting in the window was looking rather flat and I still dream of a puffy one one day)
Le.City is Le let down. Didn't feel or look remarkable unless there is something better that wasn't on floor
The Rodeo is really cool. So soft and I even dig the junbo! I detest the charms...except for the little silver bag that only comes on the special edition jumbo black.if I understood correctly. Too bad. $10 grand
But that bag would break in so lovely I 🤔 😍😍😍🤨 think! I really want one.
But that pre scratched faded version is silly...I thought is was a beat up floor model. Is anyone buying this with the sides all dusty looking and faded and the scratches? No offense meant if that's your thing...I was just shocked. And they did admit it's a bite on the twins's bag. Brilliant idea.

I visited the Bal store (in Vegas) last month and felt up some Rodeos. The minis were not soft (especially the green one), but the medium (with gold HW) was pretty soft. Now I didn't start singing and dancing about the softness (as sometimes I do with my older Bals
, but the softness factor was certainly there in the gold HW medium. But the SA showed me a medium with silver HW and I wasn't too impressed. So the softness factor varies per bag, perhaps depending on how much use it gets, i.e., store model vs. in the box...?

It was soft in that it really was soft and a bit " creamy "....and I could tell that with wear it was just going to break so beautifully.
You know like you can tell with a good city even if it's mint or near mint. Most of mine are like that, nearly all...because I rarely carry my collection. I know it's weird but I'm so careful when I do and I've gotten lucky with many barely if ever carried. The ones that are not never worn mint, but just in amazing condition have variations of softness.
That's why I totally think this bag will break amazing. So expensive for someone us though...and I've never had or even seen a calfskin bag because I have no real friends who carry balenciaga.
They think an LV. is a huge event. I had one nice one and some amazing vintage luggage but sold in a lot of pique ☹️☹️😞😭
I glimpsed the scratched version from afar and said, no. Didn't even give it a chance. I like used-looking bags, but the scratched/faded Bals aren't my thing.
I have a boutique here were I live- and when I tried the different versions, as I said before, to me the croc embossed was by far the softest- no idea why. My bag arrived today-she is beautiful. I have to get used to this kind of bag as I am used to totes, crossbody and hobos- so we shall see, but I am smitten. One thing I would add, that others have mentioned- not sure about the crossbody strap- need to find another shorter version - but not sure this bag looks good that long or crossbody anyway. Crook of arm or over shoulder makes much more sense to me.

The pre scratched version is very Zoolander “derelicte collection.” Rodeo is the first time is a long time I bought a new Bal. Once in a while Bal will create something great and surprise me, but it will also continue to crank out products that leaves me scratching my head, like the duct tape bracelet and the pre scratched version of the Rodeo.
My large fits easily over the shoulder with the handle alone. I don’t see ever carrying it with the long strap.
