Not sure. They seem to look onto the coffin with sadness?
Not sure either. I think he did something, said something, something inappropriate. Could explain why he was ‘blanked’ while he was leaving.
What is he looking at? Catherine's papers are on the stand ... are Charlotte's papers hidden behind the corner of the coffin, with just the very very corner of a paper peeking out along the rail? I'm honestly asking. It almost looks like he's looking at something Charlotte is holding in her hands? He's not looking at anything in his own hands. The younger woman just behind him seems to be looking there too, down toward where Charlotte might be holding something? I don't think the angle of her eyes is quite right for the coffin.

I'm glad I got to watch a good part of the last ten days, mainly on BBC. History in the making. I can't think of anybody in the U.S., dead or alive, who can even remotely compare with QEII. She was a WORLD figure, "real", nothing fake about her. She didn't suffer fools yet she could be very warm. She was a realistic WWII era person who understood the hardships, sacrifices and suffering of so many. It makes me furious that today we have people in high places who compare certain situations with the Holocaust and concentration camps. They have zero clue and just shoot their stupid mouths off. QEII lived a charmed life yet had genuine compassion for unfortunate people. Her love for animals melted my heart. She had dignity and class, which IMHO relatively few of our leaders have anymore. She did not take the comforts that surrounded her for granted and realized her role was serve, which she did with aplomb for 70 years. Who else could compel tens of thousands of people to stand in line for twelve hours just to see their closed coffin for a matter of seconds? Whether or not the people of The United Kingdom meant to share her with the rest of the globe, this American kind of "adopted" her as a person for whom I admired and had great respect. QEII was a wonderful woman and her passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the world. RIP.
Not quite as good as the one from PP's funeral, but this is lovely. She radiates warmth, kindness and compassion even during a time of immense grief.

I also noticed she looked like she was about to cry during the morning service. She is Philip's second cousin, I think?
I'm curious, why was George wearing a blue suit instead of black suit? The only reason I could think of is to mimic his father's uniform. Viscount Severn was in a black suit.
