I was looking at the tulip bag but the straps do not go on the shoulder, but it says it comes with a strap. It does not say how long the strap is.

I think this page might answer your questions somewhat:
http://www.ebags.com/product/rioni/tulip-tote/131840

The Rioni site doesn't mention any magnets for that style, and I would guess it doesn't have them.

What I usually do when I want to find alternate pictures, is I go on google and search say:
rioni tulip
then go to images and look until I find something different than the stock pics.
And when you're looking for sites to buy from, go over to shopping on google. You won't find everything there, so another search on the main google might tease out a few more sites.

Thank you so much. The other bag from them is the one with the magnets. It is the small luxury tote. I saw both of them while on vacation.

I have the Medium Luxury Tote, and it does have magnets at the top. My Nokia N8 fits in the pocket with elastic that's meant for phones. I don't know if the Small has a different size cell phone pocket. The zipped pocket should fit your phone though. I think there's one inside and one outside zipped pocket. So if your phone can handle magnets at a distance, it shouldn't be a problem unless you're easily distracted and put it next to the magnets without thinking about it.

I'd say the difference between those totes, is that the Luxury tote is bigger, and has a longer strap drop. On the other hand, the Tulip tote has zippered top, which I like. 6.5" strap drop isn't much, unless you're petite. I suppose the strap might make up for that.

BTW, if that strap is the same length as the strap for the Small Boston, I can tell you that I use it with a small Rioni purse - similar to Shoulder Fender, that has a short strap I can't remove. With both those straps on, the small purse rides on my hip cross body. Here's a link that shows the length of that strap:

It says the medium tote is eighteen inches. Is it really? Overstock doesn't have either of the bags I like. I like what people say about them. Do you think either of those bags will come to overstock? Which is you more comfortable bag? Are any of your bags under two pounds?

The Tall Tote Shopper is right over two pounds, and the Luxury Tote in Medium right under (squeaking under).

Overstock normally has them, but they're sold out at the moment:

I would go on ebay for the Tulip Tote, and compare with other stores - be sure to allow for huge variations in shipping.

Thank you so much for all your help. You really know your way with these bags. I need to keep it very light weight, so I think the ones I'm considering would be perfect.

I had a longchamp but the little strap over the zipper drove me crazy. Then my daughter borrowed it , permanently :smile1:. I showed the rioni to my step dad and he suggested I just suck it up and buy from rioni direct. At least that way if something is wrong with it I can return it. Though he was surprised I wanted one of these bags as I usually buy Lv. when I by coated canvas. I also like Mz wallace because they are fairly light too. Have you ever tried those?

Most of the people who sell them online drop ship them, so they're shipped from Rioni.

I guess the one I kept looking at said no returns. I just found another place to get it. So I just ordered it for 145.00. I can't wait till my tulip tote comes. I'm still mad at myself for not having bought it when I saw it. I did buy a bag on vacation that was a pretty nylon crossbody from a company called la bagagerie that I used on the trip. Now I have to be good for a while. Though If I love the bag when it comes, I might buy a matching wallet.

I see all the collection and review videos on youtube for various purse brands, and realize we need some videos about Rioni as well. I'll try and make some over time. But maybe you can make one too when yours arrive? Especially since it appears to be a unique design.

I wish the bags weren't so heavy. I've had my eye on the black Dome Duffel Traveler for travel. It's perfect in every way except according to Overstock it weighs 6 pounds empty!

My Rioni bags seem to keep patinaing at a very even rate. There's little difference in tone between what catches the light and what doesn't. And even purses I've kept mostly in the dark have continued patinaing.

Then we have the incidences of skin reactions we've heard of. I started thinking more about it. Part of the allure with my Boston bag is that it feels different than the leather on my Signature Black purse.

Is it possible the vachetta is actually treated with something that speeds up the patina process? Lanolin, perhaps? That would explain that some people react, and others don't. I'm not allergic to lanolin, but it's possible I can "feel" its presence? Maybe that's the expensive feel on the Boston bag? I've got a purse gummy on my most used bag, so I seldom touch the handle much. It's possible purse gummies are a good thing on our Rioni shoulder bags with vachetta, to protect our skin against skin irritation, so we don't develop the allergy?
