I jumped through hoops last year to get a non eTag version... always thought this thing was gonna be a problem (the batteries), and add unnecessary costs for very little benefit (I rarely ever fly with the airlines that offered it). That happens if you don't ask customers what they require...

I’m not surprised while it could be a good feature for some I feel for most it would be more of a nuisance.

There is a Rimowa store in Canada in Toronto and Vancouver.

Unfortunately most stores won’t ship, and also, custom in Canada is a killer! Are you sure you want to get one shipped to you? I can help you, but honestly with the shipping cost and your duty in Canada it’s probably not worth it....

Yes, I know there are stores in Canada but they are so expensive and the cases made in Canada. I would prefer a made in Germany one.

There was a site that one of the members used to have the suitcase sent to a shipping agent and agent sent to US. You might want to search the history and see what site that was.

They are Cabin Plus size, been try to secure one but apparently very limited . I’m already prepared for the disappointment.
