Resellers getting Chanel items first and selling for premium

And now Mel in Melbourne is actively trying to get people to buy from resellers! Unbelievable. It really seems like they are all in it together to make profits.

Is this the premise of the video? I have it queued to finish when after work. It's so exhausting that all the bags that I'd rather just buy in boutiques are just flooding the resell market.

I've noticed that Alyssa Lenore is ALSO partnering with Redeluxe. (I haven't read back yet so I don't know if this was discussed, sorry)

Actually in that video, Mel is encouraging people to buy pre-loved and vintage Chanel bags, not new bags from resellers.

She links to ebay resellers, maybe they do lean more towards vintage, but she spent half the video promoting those ridiculous chain wallet things and the samorga inserts that go with it. It's blatantly obvious what is going on here. It even says "Disclaimer: Thank you to Samorga for part SPONSORING this video, however all opinions are my own. Some links may be affiliated" and I remember Mel saying in one of her videos youtube is a source of income for her. The thing is I used to really like Mel in Melbourne, I have followed her through her journey and first Birkin from Paris. It's not authentic anymore when you start promoting stupid stuff and resellers just for kickbacks. You know that horribly ugly senreve bag all the influencers happen to have and like, same type of thing going on here. Good thing I'm done with my Chanel collection, I'm done watching these videos. If I go to Paris I may purchase something from the boutique there, but I won't ever purchase from resellers, especially not random ebay ones.

Yeah i understand what you mean ! Mel did not partner that much in the past but am surprised these youtubers (lvlovercc Charis too ! ) are promoting samorga felt tote , instead one can buy a good bag from target and use for ages!

The eBay sellers Mel linked to are Japanese vintage sellers and they are the most reputable. Some of their prices are fair while others not so much.

I'm surprised Mel is even allowed to promote Samorga given that 7 Rue Paradis pays so many of her bills.

Mel often recommends buying proloved. She also used to collaborate with ******* which is an Australian reseller that buys bags in bulk from Europe and sells them for a little less than retail.

There was a big controversy, which is the main reason I unsubscribed, after a her fans ended up buying fake bags from them. It turns out the way they authentic bags wasn’t great. They’ll authenticate a few random bags in the shipment instead of authenticating all of them.

She made a video to address this in 2020.
