So CC sold her mono speedy yall..whoever predicted she would start “curating” again was spot on, Lol!

Yes saw that. And she said the red classic flap will be going soon too, but she’s justifying why she’s curating her collection & referring to Marie Kondo etc. By looking at her stories & the push on justifying her actions I think yes she’s very much reading the forum & is aware of people’s current views here as the tone is very defensive lately.
I mean yes by all means she’s free to buy, sell repeat as much as she wants but the YouTube content doesn’t feel genuine. I’m sure the vast number of followers on YouTube do not know that post her videos she’s selling the bags in matter of months so that’s what doesn’t sit right. Using platform to generate followers with new content & influencing and very shortly changing mind.

Bingo! Shes definitely reading in here because now shes justifying her every move, Lol.

Theres plenty of youtubers with large bag collections, no biggie…

But for some reason CC wants to have this minimalistic image, and it clearly doesnt match her purchases.

Yes that minimalist image vs actual reality along with the usage of her platform to consign and also be a personal shopper aka reseller as basically it is shopping and selling for a profit / fees. So it all seems farce, questionable - used to like her content but not anymore as it doesn’t feel authentic.

Actually I’ve seen a bunch of these “resellers” in the groups are selling REALLY good superfakes. I think some of them are friends with the admins, one in particular claims to be an expert authenticator yet this person let’s these superfakes from her friends/ people they’re cool with fly. And since the admin says they’re “authentic” they person buying at a steep premium doesn’t bat an eyelash. I won’t name any names (not trying to catch a lawsuit lol!) but quite a few people have been scammed this way and if they try to speak out or make a post about a well loved reseller who sold them a fake, it doesn’t get approved and they get threatened with a lawsuit. I know there are good sellers and people just trying to sell items they don’t want but I don’t trust any of those fb groups.

I’m with you on reporting those groups and “resellers”

Whoa, this puts me off completely from ever buying preowned or new Chanel from anywhere but the boutique from now on.

I’ve seen some very good leather quality on superfakes IRL when browsing random shops in Seoul... it wouldn’t be hard to locate even better quality superfakes if one was intent on finding them.

Pretty sure I know which group you’re referring to. I’ve also had a strange feeling about the admin(s), my personal interaction with one and the weird cult-like praise they receive; although that has no bearing on authenticity.

It is indeed very scary. I NEVER buy preowned or through a reseller or personal shopper. Always go straight to the boutique. If we ALL do this, the resellers will go out of business.

I can’t imagine Chanel is ok with these youtubers/instagrammers who are really resellers. It cheapens the brand. This is not who they intended their items to go to.

Hello catwalk Please stop using other people’s reasons of curating or letting go or hanging on to justify your reselling habits. People lose money when they curate. You take advantage of your subbies and make money. Moreover, your content doesn’t feel authentic. Why not make a vlog sale every week instead ? Lol like curator lab

I unsubscribed from Hello Catwalk City’s YouTube page. She seemed so inauthentic when she was talking about her Black caviar Chanel Clutch on chain, going on how much she loved it.

Then she bought a red maroon caviar Clutch on Chain on Instagram, it was really gorgeous. It seemed like she loved the style so much, and she bought another one. She then commented smugly when others mentioned it was a “forever bag” with “I sold it” so smugly.

Ummm no. Don’t preach
about minimalism, get me hooked on your channel, and then go about buying every Chanel new release under the sun. She’s trying to be so relatable to us common folk, but she’s a reseller in disguise preaching mininmalism. FAKE!!

This! I stopped watching her after she purchased the rainbow woc and the filagree woc. She seemed to be adding many bags, yet still boasting about a curated collection and her aspiring minimalism lifestyle. I am so curious to read her youtube comments and if anyone has challenged her on her so called "miminlism lifestyle."

Someone was doing something similar in one of the facebook groups the other day. She said she had 8 of the caramel coco handles and I recall seeing more than one of the gold minis in her very braggy/obnoxious video.
I am inclined to question authenticity in these circumstances. There are super fakes out there that are extremely hard to spot.

Thank you all for the intel regarding Hello catwalk city reselling activities!

I'm not sure if members here are familiar with luxy theory from youtube. I used to like her content on youtube. her reviews and styling tips were helpful.

I suspect that along the way she became a part-time reseller who openly offered her personal shopping services in sourcing items from Hong Kong under her youtube videos descriptions. That is fine by me. The weird thing is, she would shop and unbox various items from Hermes and Chanel on her channel and would claim to love them only to resell them later on her blog. One green kelly 28 which she claimed to love was found later on vestiaire with a hefty premium. The listing has since been deleted. Her viewers called her out and rightly so in the comments section. In another video she admitted that she didn't like her SH black birkin 25 anymore and that the bag was not her style. It looks like she has changed her mind and is currently happily touting various birkins and other Hermes bags on her instagram account.

Sometimes it's unclear to me whether her hauls were bought with her own money for herself or was she unboxing stuff she had bought for her client. Aside from few Hermès, Chanel and Mulberry bags, she rarely reuses her stuff. Her latest videos centered mostly around hauls and unboxings.

Currently her channel shows no videos. Either her videos were made private or she has deleted them. Her blog is now under construction.

It seems tacky that some personal shoppers/influencers would unbox their clients stuff and pass them off as personal shopping 'hauls'. I hope this practice is only limited to some random individual wannabe influencers.

On a positive note, has anyone seen the new video from Emma Anders? I know this comment is for the Youtube thread but I loved how she showed wear and tear on bags she had for years! Nothing about how many bags she resold or plans on reselling just her thoughts on her bags and the wear and tear. There is nothing wrong in reselling handbags from one's collection. I have sold a Gucci bag myself because it didnt suit my lifestyle. But she is not like the other Youtubers mentioned here.
I love watching videos like these. It gives me an idea of what bags I want to add in my collection. I appreciated her honesty. She is one of my favorite YouTuber at the moment. I made sure to like her video.

Actually there’s nothing wrong about curating or downsizing your collection. But if it becomes “intentional” , that’s another story. Life changes may happen : no longer fit your lifestyle, you may have financial priority, or just because you wanted a smaller collection. But these people who we are calling out are the ones who hoarded the unicorns and resell them for premium. Money may have been a motivation or youtube content.. that the posting-reviewing-making hype and selling - has became a habit
