Resellers getting Chanel items first and selling for premium

I just watched YouTuber Siradong post her caramel 21p mini issues. She bought it from a reseller. I know she supports resellers. I’ve seen her unbox items from resellers, which does not help as she has many followers.
Question:
1. Can you even return that item because of those issues. Looks like a real Chanel defect. Many resellers don’t accept returns. I can see many back and forth conversations happening to return it.
2. Can you go to Chanel to have it fixed if you didn’t buy it yourself from store?

There’s a comment there that she/he is having same issues and planning to sell. I’m sure she/he will still sell it a premium price. So again another factor to be wary about buying from resellers. The item may look good but may have real Chanel defects.

what are her issues with the bag? Most resellers don’t accept returns. Idk if Chanel does repairs on bags u didn’t order. I know their warranty for bags only lasts the first 5 years I think? And after that they won’t repair

I heard that SAs prefer selling to resellers too, as they are less fussy and buy a lot. That's probably the reason why some bags aren't "perfect", bc resellers won't care. They just want to flip for quick money. These resellers need to be reported

That’s why I said “Please explain this.” I did not argue with people explaining. This is the purpose of the forum to ask. Why throw shade? Thank you for the explanation.
Still the point of this thread is resellers hoarding these items and marking them up (5-10%, still a mark-up) preventing people from buying them directly from the stores.

Sorry for it coming off as shade... totally understand how it did! I should probably have coffee before responding ;)

chanel_vintage_sale should just change her IG name, most of the bags she’s selling are not even vintage bags. She has people in Japan help her source all the latest styles especially the pink color ones. Of course these bags are hard to find because her team buys all of them and resell the bags at a ridiculously high price. It’s a shame for her to even show off the bags on IG! People please stop buying from her!

Hmm I think this is just a result of Chanel’s marketing strategy. Sell the idea of exclusivity and build stronger brand loyalty by lowering supply to increase demand, just like Hermes. This was done through aggressive price increases, getting rid of caviar minis, and having less seasonal bags to sell. Thus, making their bags only attainable to a select few like RTW VIPs clientele. Chanel doesn’t want people who saves up to buy 1 bag or just walk in and buy one.

It seems like seasonal pieces are harder and harder to get now, you have to pre-order months ahead without seeing the bag in person and inspecting its quality issues. They’re targetting wealthier clientele who doesn’t bat an eye when spending on $7k+ bags or find little flaws on bags, moving away from clients who would only spend $3k+ on bags. Yeah, Chanel would lose money buying not have more bags available, but I think that’s short term loss over long term wins. It’s a nice problem to have. I think Chanel will probably max out their bags at 10k a piece in the next few years.

As for resellers, I’m skeptical that Chanel will care enough to fix this issue because resellers market will buy in bulk, guaranteed business and an example of how much people are willing to buy classic flaps 2nd hand (future projection). Next thing you know, you’d probably have to buy their RTW pieces before being offered their classic flaps and buy directly from them instead of through resellers. At least if you buy directly from Chanel, you are receiving other RTW pieces and not giving money to resellers to keep their day job/side gigs.

In the next couple of years, only way to circumvent this is continue to establish good relationships with SAs by buying their RTW pieces and you get a slot to purchase their classic flaps.

Fwdstyling is a low key reseller. She doesn’t flat out advertise her bags for sale. She will sneakily add available in a pic or comment. She asks almost $8500 for a rose Clair medium flap and a little less for purple and Carmel. Her account needs to be banned too.
Another offender is Myrena_fashionlover , she’s changed her handle so many times at this point because she keeps getting banned from IG. She is a reseller, she uses the same exact photos SAs from saks and neimans post on WhatsApp and PhotoCircle and will try to crop out of her reposted pictures any identifiers, like the SAs nail polish color etc. she also has all her items shipped to a facility in Oregon, to avoid paying sales tax. I hope she never regains her account access. All of these resellers need to be banned and blocked from Chanel.
Do we have a list ?

I had bought from personal shoppers before and my chanel boutique accepts to fix whatever I brought in . I fixed two pairs of earrings (not bought at the store directly myself) also two handbags (not bought under my name as well.

Her pieces are not from japan . I bought from her once and her items are from mainland China . She didn’t give me receipts but I found out because China has a tag sticker inside the box . She told me it was from japan but actually it’s not . but item is all good so I didn’t complain
