can you send these pictures to Chanel customer care????
I'm so sick of seeing Luxbuntoutou makes me angry:cursing:

I have submitted her IG name to Chanel but the website doesn't allow attachments. Pls, anyone, who has the email address, take these photos and submit to Chanel. If chanel just go IG see their profiles they won't see these photos bc its from insta stories. UNITE, PPL!

I agree these resellers need to be reported to chanel!! They wont be able to stop this reseller because its just a random weird instagram username but they probably will make sure they enforce the buying policy. Instagram wont care if you report them its not their company (Chanel) These resellers have a group of people buying them and working together to get all the popular colours and styles, the SAs know they are resellers!!

About US$9,000 for this?! Mark up of about US$1500! Wasn’t somebody defending this reseller before? Please explain this.

As others have noted, AUD retail price for a M/L classic flap is 10,800. This price represents a markup of 5%, less than sales tax in most of our states. The USD is very, very weak right now, so the exchange price in our currency is terrible. Not worth it to you? Don't buy it. Just suggesting you research before throwing stones.

A mark up is still a mark up regardless of if you’re playing with US dollars or Australian. The fact that these bags are sold for anything higher than retail is one thing. The other is that these bags are scarce to those who want to buy it from the boutique.

“Holding onto a bag too late” - ie failing to meet the return date or “buying from a reseller in the first place and can’t return” are not good enough reasons for the climate to be just so: that you can’t find a bag you want, and you have to pay a markup fee for it.

If anything, these people buying from resellers or failing to return in a timely manner should not be able to be like “oh well, I can make my money back and more” rather than “oh snap” now I’ll have to sell it at it’s current price and take a loss.

the demand is there, and because it is, these people are just making bucks off of us even if they say they are not buying with the explicit intention of reselling - as someone had pointed out to me - that some of these listing are just about “recouping” monies. It’s just straight up fishy to me tbh.

you really gotta take it back up with the consumer - us, really. You cant put it on the reseller to be like “oh, I’m going to sell it for it’s retail and not a penny more” they just want their money and a living and theyre going to charge whatever ridiculous price they want to charge. It’s up to us to decide better, and reject those silly prices.

there are 6 seasons to chanel. And there will always be bag after bag. Turning our backs on resellers would be the greatest figurative finger flip to those fees you as buyers shouldn’t have to pay for in the first place!!!

Everyone should just think again, on how they spend their money. Buying a Chanel is already a lot of money. Why do they think is OK to pay another 1 to 2k on top, just to buy a bag?

I believe the best way isnt just for Chanel to intervene, but also coming together to stop buying from resellers. Let them get stuck with those leather bags. Since they like to snatch

Wake up, its just handbags! Money is hard to earn! :noworry::sad:

That’s why I said “Please explain this.” I did not argue with people explaining. This is the purpose of the forum to ask. Why throw shade? Thank you for the explanation.
Still the point of this thread is resellers hoarding these items and marking them up (5-10%, still a mark-up) preventing people from buying them directly from the stores.

I just watched YouTuber Siradong post her caramel 21p mini issues. She bought it from a reseller. I know she supports resellers. I’ve seen her unbox items from resellers, which does not help as she has many followers.
Question:
1. Can you even return that item because of those issues. Looks like a real Chanel defect. Many resellers don’t accept returns. I can see many back and forth conversations happening to return it.
2. Can you go to Chanel to have it fixed if you didn’t buy it yourself from store?

There’s a comment there that she/he is having same issues and planning to sell. I’m sure she/he will still sell it a premium price. So again another factor to be wary about buying from resellers. The item may look good but may have real Chanel defects.
