Resellers getting Chanel items first and selling for premium

WOW. To openly and blatantly ask on IG….
I am appalled, disgusted and disheartened. What has CHANEL become?View attachment 5346895

I have followed this reseller for awhile and she just grossed me out. She goes by Nancy Li on fb. She usually tries to get a good price items on fb group and resell it way higher on her ig. She just re-posts other ppl pictures on here and on fb and that’s how she runs her ig. I wish ppl just stop using her pictures on here cuz they would just help her ig to grow. I know she’s on this tpf for sure but don’t know what’s her username

That is very uncool. I often saw pictures we posted here pop up on her IG within a few minute so she definitely is on TPF. That is why I took time to watermark my pictures but who has time for that all the time! I think Chanel is trying hard but seems like we are the one who pays the price right now. That said tho I hope they keep at it cause it is only going to make it harder and harder for them not be able to get more than one bag at a time hence they will be more bags available to others. Now they have to come out to beg! Well, until they figure something else out…. (Sorry I normally isn’t this negative toward others. But this is just too much!)

I know most of these resellers follow TPF secretly and create new accounts to get intel from NAT in the stock thread. I have seen so many messages in there of people begging her for SA info. Makes me wonder if this is how resellers on IG are getting stock. Its disgusting.

maybe they should get suspended for posting in that thread begging, and it should turn into a ban if they continue. It’s obvious they didn’t bother to read the TITLE of the thread, the pinned post, or use common sense to notice nobody else is commenting. This indicates to me they aren’t a genuine user on here. I hope these greedy goblins don’t discourage Nat from posting. She does a huge service to real posters on here just out of kindness.

I guess this might be the reason she sold her c19 tweed n pearl bag.. I think she mentioned she might have another SO coming .. who knows

I’m disappointed in Alyssa and will no longer be watching any of her videos. It’s very clear that she (along with catwalk) does not purchase bags because she likes them. She just purchases bags that are popular (taking away from someone who genuinely wants it) so she can make a video and then goes back and resells it. She has no intention of keeping these bags she uses them as content then goes back and flips them because she can’t afford to keep them on her quest to live an influencer lifestyle.

It is extremely difficult n you have to be super creative I feel to attract n retain viewers n followers. I guess Alyssa is running out of ideas n plus she has a destination wedding coming up. I want to applaud to people like BrooklynBlond on IG. She has mix to reviews alone with sponsorship n blog posts. I think she does well for her self. I haven’t seen or notice her churning these bags or coveted item for resell. She still keep her posts n feature of luxury items interesting

I love Brooklyn Blonde! I've been following her for a long time and she's so down to earth and never resells items for profit. She is a good mix of luxury and 'normal' (still buys things from H&M for example). And even when she does do sponsored posts on IG, she goes SO in depth on how it works for her in a way that doesn't feel fake, but that she genuinely enjoys the product and it works for her.

Sometimes she actually reply to my DM which I’m shocked because she is the only influencer that actually reply
I always love how she mix her classic flips n coco handle n her trendy into her street wear or even wear it casually for an outing with kids

Here comes a little personal rant because I'm annoyed.

I am looking for a certain pair of shoes that are not available anymore. They popped up in my size a while ago in great condition, only worn a few times, full set. The seller is asking several 100 above retail price. They're a popular style but they haven't sold in over a month. She reduced the price by 100 but it's still ridiculous. She could probably sell them for (just under) retail but the greed doesn't even stop with used shoes.
Personally for me, paying above retail for used shoes are a no no regardless of how much I really love the design or how long I've been looking for it. Shoes even worn once already gets dirty/scuffed what's more a few times. The value just isn't there.

Exactly. That’s also why they‘re not selling. I‘m just so annoyed by it.

By the way I can’t believe someone purchased the pearl bag at the ridiculous mark up from Redeluxe

IMO she’s basically buying and selling bags for content, flip them for some $$, and then use that money to pay for living expenses and buy Hermes. How much does an influencer make annually? It really varies. I can’t imagine her making millions. Maybe just low six figures, which can afford her to buy some bags but not at the rate that she is buying. Doesn’t she have a place (with her husband) in north jersey? Based from her videos, it’s not like her place is super nice or anything. All in all, she’s not really rolling in dough.. she saw a market and tried to capitalize on it as best as she could. Buying and keeping expensive bags is a different lifestyle than those who buy and resell to make money. We’re talking apples and oranges here. When I first started buying chanel, I did see her videos. As my handbag (pretty much chanel CFs) collection grows, I stopped because I rather see ladies with coveted 10+ CF bags that they wear with cute outfits cuz that’s *bag goals* and outfit inspo to me. I rather go on here and appreciate chanel with the rest of the ladies here who genuinely love chanel.
