My Le Cagole with rhinestones (fluo green) is badly ripped beyond repair, where to sell it for spare parts? No leathersmith around my area is willing to fix it and I don't have the heart to toss it in the rubbish 😢
I saw a YT where a woman got her peekaboo rehabbed by leather surgeons & they were impressive. I would only trust:send a bag to them or Lovin My Bags.

Hello!! I'm having mold on the lining (and probably underneath the lining) of a Part Time bag I just bought. It's the type of mold that looks like a coat of very fine white powder that keeps coming back after being vacuumed. I looks like dust. Do you know how to get rid of this type of mold without ruining the bag? If you you think I should just return the bag, please let me know as I'm still within the return period. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!!

VERY HELPFUL! Thank you so much, iluvmybags!!!! So it may not be mold after all. Yay! I will contact @vesna for an update. Hi @vesna how is your gorgeous brown bowler bag holding up? I'm inserting photos of my bag. The white powder is not on the outside, it's only on the lining (but probably underneath the lining too).View attachment 6141750View attachment 6141751View attachment 6141752
Just want to say that this is very helpful indeed. I have some leather goods that have this. Thank you to @iluvmybags as well.

I just bought a pink (rose bonbon) pompon bag, second hand, but it was more damaged than the ad said (the damage was also conveniently hidden on the photos). I decided to keep it and try to fix the damage with leather paste and paint over the spots. The leather paste works really well and easy. The paint is a little more difficult... I read parts of this topic where other members mixed paint themselves to fix this, and said it's really hard, well... it is. The wet paint looks like the perfect color and then dries up completely different!! So still trying to find the right color. If anyone can recommend a color or knows a good way to find the right one, please let me know! I'm attaching some pictures of the process :)

Does anyone have experience with a company like LMB restoring a HEAVILY worn bbag?
I purchased a HEAVILY used Weekender from PM, not quite as bad as I was expecting. Luckily there are no smells. My question: To Spa or not to spa??? I really don’t have a problem with a well loved bbag- I’m all for an Olsen-fied bag, especially a travel one that gets thrown around, but I know that the spa/restoration world has come a long ways and can make a bag look almost new. Does anyone have experience with a company like LMB restoring a HEAVILY worn bbag? The corners are discolored but in decent shape, the main “wear” is the heavy color fading. When LMB restores a bags color, how does it affect the leathers feel? Thanks in advance for your help.

Will do, thanks!

Any thoughts on how much repair or cleaning this bag will need? The seller didn’t grade the condition, but I’m thinking of taking the jump. I think I’d need (or just want) to replace the handle cord using the tutorial posted here, but not sure how to do DIY corner repair or if there are any other glaring issues that I’m missing.

It depends on how pristine you want it. I agree with replacing the whipstitching, and it's tough to tell the corners from the pics, but they don't look too bad. A good moisturizing would be the first thing, you may not have to do much else. The top edge looks a bit dipped but there's not much you can do about that.

I'm pretty sure this bag has never been conditioned prior to coming to me - or maybe once in its lifetime. The leather was soooo dry although it didn't look like it. Soaked up the conditioner like a sponge!
This bag has lived a full life but the leather is still smooshy with the original glaze - the worst wear is on the handles ; softest bal handles I've owned, still getting my head around it, patina which is fine, the edges have cracked and seems to have been glued back with leather glue which is fine. Tassels have been glued together as well. Overall uneven fading - I'll have to carry this "backwards" once in a while. 2005 Magenta is such a spectacular colour, I just get so lost in the deep pink purple smoosh! My HG colour and now i own 2!
Kept the lighting the same in the comparison pics. I only used Apple Garde Conditioner, a microfiber towel, some qtips & toothpicks for the hard to reach spots.

Wow what a gorgeous colour, it looks amazing, especially at 20 years old!

Sorry if this has been posted or asked already but does anyone have tips on how to clean a Bal graffiti? Do you clean the print with Applegard or do you clean it the same way you would any other Bal bags with no print? Just worried the prints will come off if I put something on it? 🥹😭 Thank you!
