It's annoying that the eBay listings all say leather even though it's faux leather.

I was going to say, all these listings indicate leather - so it's actually faux leather? I mean, I guess it would have to be for the price, right? It's all the same lister - guess s/he's got some kind of inside scoop. Ridiculous.

He's talked about the materials. They're supposed to be technical leather, or laminated canvas. :-s

I don't mind people assuming it's a Kohl's bag; I honestly don't think others care that much and if they do happen to pass judgement beyond "nice purse," that's on them, not me.

I do wish I'd seen more new designs though. It would be nice to see some additional creativity from him. Hopefully, he'll wind up heading another place. I think Banana Republic is going through some changes. I'd love to see what he'd do there.

"Technical" leather, snort? Why don't you just call it like it is. It's laminated canvas, or whatever. Doesn't Kit and Ace's "technical" cashmere at least actually have some cashmere in it? Come on, Reed. And seriously, what has he been doing for the past year that he could't come up with some new silhouettes? The whole thing is very disappointing.

Reed at BR could be pretty cool.

It looks like fake leather. I don't believe it will feel "as good as" the leather of the RK40

I'm sure technical leather doesn't *wear* anything like real leather. Having said that, the bags look really nice and I like the idea of affordable bags that are attractive and well designed. I'm curious to see them IRL.

That's probably true. I don't mind someone using faux leather, as long as you call a spade a spade. I think I'm probably more upset that the designs are duplicates of what he's already done - down to the same color combos! That said, I admit I'm looking forward to seeing those bag charms...:p

He did not use any type of creativity for this.

Looks like I will be putting my Boxer's away for a while. Just saw the Kohl's collection and like others have previously mentioned, disappointed that the EXACT same silhouettes and names are being used. Thankfully the Gym bag and hard Uniform satchel are rather nondescript.

Mixed feelings about the Kohl's collaboration and the demise of the brand. While I understand the sticker shock of paying $1K for a bag made in China plus the ridiculous expansion plans, RK bags have been some of the most easy-to-use, well constructed bags I have owned. I can't say the same thing about Proenza Schouler or Mulberry. (Hardware falling apart, popped sitching etc.)

Oh wow. I always thought he would come back and I was rooting for him, but this is not the direction I ever expected him to take. I'm incredibly disappointed and I even feel kind of betrayed. I was intrigued by the bag charms, but the whole thing has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I certainly won't be purchasing one. And, online at least, they appear to be somewhat cheap looking.

I am not putting mine away. Well I don't use them that often. But his Kohl's line looks so cheap and I am not even interested in the bag charms anymore

I'll continue to use my bags too, because I still love them, but I don't think I can look at him in the same way anymore, or whatever else he might do.
