Yes -- thank you PJ.!! Bloomingdales carried them in Black and Red
Once we learned that the Beige wasn't being released in the US (that we know of), I actually bought a black one. I sold it a very long time ago though

This was the black one I owned (weird that this pic shows up here, but not in the Reference thread where I shared this one and a bunch more)

I had to do a double-take when I saw this offered as a TRR 1st Look!
Someone else actually added it to their cart so I assumed I missed out, but got lucky when the other person apparently changed their mind because it became available like 10 minutes later!!

When this collection was originally released, everyone was so in love with it, but it was also pretty pricey so most of us just assumed we’d admire it in the stores. Then we discovered the SLGs & everyone got excited — excitement turned to disappointment when we learned that the boutique didn’t order these and the department stores that did, didn’t order this color (which is the one everyone wanted!!). We all assumed this color just wasn’t produced, then someone shared spy pics from the MJ boutique in Dubai where they appeared to order just about everything from this collection (if you read through that thread, you might get a sense of our desperation/disappointment back then!!:lol:) and VOILA!! there it was!

No idea how it wound up at TRR 15 years later it did and its mine now!!

From the 2009 S/S collection, this is the Memphis Pouchette in Beige :love::love:

I got my hands on a spring/summer 2008 Rana clutch! In bubblegum pink!!! It dropped on TRR and I think I bought it immediately, I've been looking for a Rana in any colour for a reasonable price for a few months. This one was $95 because it has some scuffs on the leather, but I don't mind that much! I'm going to try to gently clean them.

Thread 'Punky Bizness! SWEET PUNK LOVERS UNITE!'

I have wanted to start a thread like this for some time.... A kind of love sonnet, as it were, to that notorious line of bags known as Sweet Punk. The Sweet Punk bags were part of the Resort 2006 Collection. They were an ode to those early days of punk rock - - the late 1970s'-early 1980's, when "Anarchy" ruled, being "Pretty Vacant" was cool, and leather and studs were IT.... The bags were named after some of the top musical icons of that time.

The Sweet Punk bags boast buttery soft leather (soft beyond belief.... kangaroo leather, I'm told), with scuffed punk rock studs down...

I wish I’d kept my SP Hobo
I tried the Siouxsie but wasn’t a fan of how it carries (like a backpack slung over one shoulder), but it definitely had its own fan club back in the day!

I wear at my shoulder but love the option to wear at also the other way. I highly doubt that it’s kangaroo leather 😆 hard to believe. I think it’s lamb skin. It’s surely a vibe. It has a feel of vivianne Westwood as a young g punk 😆 my newest office bag. 🔥

No. Its kangaroo leather not lamb
MJ didn’t start using lambs leather til 2008/09.

I also think you misunderstood
You carry the Siousxie on the shoulder but because of its shape & positioning of HW, it carries more like backpack does when you sling one of the straps over the shoulder (across your back). It doesn’t hang like a typical shoulder bag

No worries. I understood but I will not sling it over the shoulder🤭- only in case I am riding my bike. Kangaroo. That’s very strange. No wonder why it was so expensive back than. 👀 I did not even know that kangaroo leather is or was important to the leather industry

I had a Sid...I wanted one of those for a long time but when I got it, it was so heavy and the HW on the handles was clunky so I gave it up
