Ok, Great...ThanksYea I use a 6 when I Gelish structure and pot gels its like your basic most popular gel brush I would say a #4 is probably just a little bit smaller.
I use this one mainly and get great control and precision but I also take my time and dont rush.http://s7d3.scene7.com/is-viewers/f...e7.com/is/image/&image=SallyBeauty/SBS-527340
We should probably start a new thread on trugel, just gel, Progel!! All we have is their swatch thread!
It's been just lumped in with the "others" which is fine with me. Though If a new thread starts I'd follow it too. Lol
I actually would prefer not to see more brand specific threads. The Gelish and Other Gel threads cover it all.
Oh please .... I vote no more threads! I get so happy when they get merged, personally. We're all the same participants for the most part and we cross post so much already.
As ferret points out we really should try to keep the ProGel conversation over on the "Other" thread because that's where people will be looking for it. I'd even rather see this one merged into the "Other SOGs" thread, personally. I know it's easier for newbies to start out on here or the Gelish thread. But eventually eveyone gets sucked into the "Others" anyway.![]()

Ditto!Ditto on no more threads! One big SOG thread for all brands would be my choice. Then other threads for glitter, pigments and swatches.
Having all of the swatch threads together would make comparisons easier.Ditto!![]()

How comparable is the Gelish system to the Red Carpet Manicure system. I went to my local Ulta today and just noticed the RCM stuff there. I didn't think they had any sort of nail stuff other than a stockpile warehouse of OPI. At least mine. Looking around here, I see a lot of color similarities. But is there a difference is feel and lasting time?
I did a Gelish manicure for the first time yesterday and I'm really in love with my nails. I haven't had an acrylic like feeling on them in years and I love the shine and the sort of plastic-y durable feel. But to know it's just gel and not damaging them is great and that I can take them off without power tools and such.
But does RCM give the same feeling and look? Because Shellac is a gel/polish I keep thinking they don't feel as durable and like there's an actually little shield on your nails and that it feel more like basic polish. Is RCM like that? Right now I only know Gelish but my Ulta is close by so that's a plus if I can mix and match the bases and top coats.
Do the products work with each other? RCM Structure, Gelish polish, and then Gelish TIO? Or will it crumble because the base isn't Gelish? And vice versa if the base was foundation?
My Ulta is much more convenient than Sally's so now that I know many Gelish colors are identical to RCM that's a huge plus. But how much can I mix and match? I know people do with colors but does the first color have to be the same brand as the base coat?
