I see a lot of threads that talk about "dry wiping"....what does this mean?

It means taking a dry gel brush/craft brush/lint free wipe and dragging it over the top of your base coat after curing. It removes any excess tacky residue left after curing and in many cases will help prevent shrink back with darker colors. HTH

I am wondering when they will come out with colors!! There is a post on their Facebook page where the RCM rep says that more colors coming out in April for summer but prior to April, there is another surprise!!! The suspense is killing me!!! I hope they also bring a nice pink for French manicures cause what they have now is much too sheer for my liking!!

Okay I went out and bought the RCM in Violetta Darling and Black Stretch Limo. Here is the Violetta Darling. It looks very different in natural light. This is 4 coats! I hope it wears well!

Mine started to fade on day 9. It didn't fade to an ugly color, but it was definitely lighter and less purple.

I heard that the Violetta Darling fades to a grey color. I don't really mind b/c I like grey polish! ;-) I wasn't sure I'd like this color but I am loving it. Just day 1 so I'll take note of when it starts to fade.

Does your 2 coat manicure look similar to my 4 coat? I feel like I might be doing them too thin b/c I saw a few swatches that were two coats and I feel like they looked more opaque than my 4!

I will post a pic for you to see!! My problem has been with the base!! I was always painting on the base way too thick to where they looked like fake nails lol!! I now put a dot on each nail of base (what comes on the base coat brush after wiping one side) and I then use a nail brush (mine is IBD flat gel nail brush #6 ($7) from Sally) to spread the base an even thin coat!!! It works amazing!! I then proceed with the rest of my mani regularly! Violeta darling, 2 coats!
