I'm really curious what the wattage is on that RCM light. the pro light still isn't listed on ulta's website either

Red Carpet Manicure posted on their facebook page that the Pro45 lamp is 6 watts. They said there are 3 LED lights and each are 2 watts. From what I have read about other LED lamps, there needs to be at least 12 watts to cure in under one minute. Is the RCM lamp too good to be true?

Also, they have changed the cure times for the Pro45. The bottles I have purchased say 10 seconds for Structure base coat, 45 seconds for color and 30 seconds for Brilliance top coat. The times are now 30 seconds, 45 seconds, and 45 seconds respectively.

I'm fairly new to SOG manicures, and I would love an LED lamp, but I guess I'm just bit skeptical about this one. Thoughts?

My pro light just came and I'll be trying it for my next mani. I'm trying to wait a full 2 weeks with this one...ugh.

It does only have three very bright tiny lights and the entire dome is mirrored inside. I actually felt some heat from it which I don't feel from the mini light. The wattage is definitely higher but we'll see if it's 45 seconds or not...

Its so hard waiting 2 weeks sometimes!:smile1:

What size is the Pro45? I know it will fit 4 fingers, but I am wondering if it is wide enough for a pedicure...

Also, have you had any issues with the applicator brush in the color polishes? I really want "And the Winner Is" and have been to the 3 Ultas in my area. NONE of the brushes in this particular color are normal, they all have random stray bristles. I had to exchange "Thank You, Thank You" for the same issue. So I am waiting for them to get new stock. I emailed the company, and they told me they were trying to fix the problem.

It should be wide enough to fit all if your toes in. I could do a pedicure on Sunday and let you know...hmmm.

I've noticed the same thing with the brushes and I check them when I buy them now. I have "and the winner is" on now and the brush was messed up when I went to use it the first time. I hadn't checked the bottle beforehand. I did use it once then took it back and asked to exchange it but they were out. All the other colors I've gotten have been fine.

Here is my 1st RCM. The product seemed to brush on nice. My applicator brush was ok, not as full as Shellac. The color from the bottle nothing like the actual color. The polish seems much lighter and brighter with a lot more pink than plum tones. The color is: Plum up the volume. Anyone know a good cranberry color without shimmer?

It's about time they posted the answer! I think I asked 5 or 6 times! LOL.

I'm not going to bother with it myself. I already have the Better LED which is 12 watts, and it still gives me trouble with curing the tips sometimes. I'll just wait until I can afford one of the nicer LED lamps. Maybe someone will get me one for Christmas.

If I purchase the Pro lamp, how exactly would I know if I have undercured the polish? Will the gel wipe off? Would the finish still be shiny if its not cured properly?

The color might wipe off in spots or completely. It might not be as shiny. It might not wear as long and you could get chips/peeling early on. I don't think there's a hard and fast way to know for sure unfortunately.

If it didn't cure it would wipe off. If it was incompletely cured it will not wear properly, chips/peeling.

I can't imagine that the pro light they are marketing would not be up to curing the polish properly, if that is your worry, I'd go ahead and purchase.

I am still not clear on the timing they are suggesting but based on the timer 45s, I'm guessing it's at least faster than UV. If you do not plan to use a polish that is UV cure only such as Shellac or LeChat and don't want to spend more for a pricier LED lamp that may cure more quickly, usually 30s max for a colro coat, then this seems like a great deal to me esp with the current 20% coupon available.

I just ordered received and used my Pro 45 last week. I did funky nails expecting them to not turn out the very first time. I followed the directions explicitly and they turned out perfect. They have now lasted 9 days. They are far more than I expected. The gal at Ulta nearly talked me out of it because she said they would not turn out nearly as shiny as the Shellac. They are stunning. I have done 6 other gals nails. They are so impressed they are all going to order the Pro. I warned them not to skip any steps, make sure they are flat and not tipped under the light, make sure that you do no hold your fingers together under the light so that they cast a shadow on the sides of the nails. Most of all, they WILL be sticky until the sticky is rubbed off by the purifying liquid. The times allowed in the directions are perfect, so make sure you follow the directions exactly. I have heard of people skipping the first two steps and wonder why the polish comes off in a week. Best of Luck! You will love it if you follow directions...and so will all of your friends!!!

I was reading through a magazine and saw this ad.... anyone know anything about it? I've been googling and can't seem to find much about it. I just want to know about the 36 shades!!!

Yes, there are 36 shades. Have you found this by now. The Pro 45 LED light just came out about 2 weeks ago. It is a must have and the curing process is only maximum 45 seconds for each coat. I did the entire manicure the first time and was expecting to have a redo, but it turned out perfect. I have had the manicure for 9 days now and it is stellar. I did the french tip on mine but did the Glitz & Glamorous with a Black Stretch Limo splash and 3 tiny dots on a friends. It was stunning! But of course you need the light and all of the other items to have a manicure that will last the 3 weeks as advertised. Don't try and skip steps. You may have to go online because the distributor only shipped the item 2 weeks ago to the warehouses (like Ulta). You will NOT be disappointed in this system if you purchase it and follow directions to the "t". Best of luck. I know you posted in July, so hope you are still watching for responses.

Thanks for the respone :) I have been doing the gel manicures for over a year now and i love them!! I started with shellac, then added gelish and i have a few RCM colors but i am not thrilled with them. i was really hoping for more exciting colors but a lot of them seem to be dupes for gelish. I did not know that the pro light had finally come out tho. i keep checking at Ulta when i am there but i never see them. good to know i should keep looking. i have been wanting to try an led light to help speed up the process but i am not willing to spend $100+ just to save a little time. I am really really hard on my nails so i never get 3 weeks out of a manicure tho. i was thinking it was my technique but i did my moms nails a couple of times and she can get 3+ weeks before i make her take it off (the growth is shameful but she never seems to care). Thanks for the info about the light :)

...and yes 30 seconds for base coat and 45 seconds for all remaining coats.

lovemynails... Thanks for that review! You have sold me! I am going to order it tonight using a 20% coupon I found on the internet. It really is an amazing price for an LED lamp. There are also a few people on their facebook page who have also given a glowing review. My Ulta is very nice about returns on this product line (I have had to return multiple polishes due to wonky brushes), so I'm excited to try this lamp!

My first manicure will be "Nominated For...", so I can see how it handles dark colors!

Yes, for now you can only get it online (Pro 45 LED). There was no report date for the stores getting it in. I spent the $49.99 and if you use the 20% off coupon, you cannot beat the price! ...and it cures in a 45 seconds or less for each coat. My friend works at a bank and jams her nails all day into vaults, pile of coins, and you name it. She is shocked 7 days and Zero chips. Hers is already at her house. Please make sure you use all of the steps and coats. Some folks have oily nails and do not know it, then wonder why it comes off. Use the purify, sanitizer/adhesive, basecoat, whatever polishes, top coat, and then rub with the purify again to remove the tacky. I have watched a couple of youtube reviews, and I swear, they do not get it. How can they expect the product to work when they skip half of the step. I am excited for you. I cannot imagine a better investment. I more fear getting the stuff off than keeping it on. Prior to every other polish brand destroyed my nails. This is the first time ever that my nails are long. I hope to see your reply one-day soon, telling me just how fabulous Red Carpet is!!! Love your nails!!!
