I added some of the Pearl X bright gold pigment to my Leading Lady, going for something that looks like OPI's Senorita Rosarita. I put it on this morning and like it - the gold adds just a subtle shimmer - I may add a little more to make it a bit more noticeable next time.

Since I have It's a Lily in Gelish, which is very similar, I didn't mind making a franken out of the whole bottle of Leading Lady. I just added the pigment straight to the bottle after mixing a little on some foil and curing it to see if it would work.

I'll try for a picture later tonight or tomorrow.

Anyhow, no problems with shrinkback or anything. For me, it works just like Gelish and ACG.

I tried 3 different colors and they all had shrinkage... I finally gave up and returned my whole set to ULTA, they never got in the pro light either. And I hate the travel light.

I wonder if the pro light or a regular tunnel or full led lamp would help? My ultras don't have the pro light either. I've never used one of the mini lights, and don't know if it would help with that at all though. Do you have any other brands like gelish, shellac, etc?

I was wondering how close it was to it's a lily. I really wanted that one, and got leading lady because I thought they looked similar in swatches. Are they exact dupes? Or close enough that I dont need both at least?

You mani looks really nice! The golden shimmer is really pretty.

Thanks! I've loved pink with a gold shimmer for at least a decade now - whenever I bought my first bottle of Senorita Rosarita. The gold pigment really warmed up the tone of Leading Lady, in addition to adding a light gold shimmer (sorry that it doesn't show well in the pic).

Leading Lady isn't an exact dupe but close enough to It's a Lily that you don't need both. I like the smaller, less expensive bottles of RCM because I feel freer to franken them.

I love pink and the gold shimmer too. Another reason I love the Nars blush! Though it's more peachy than pink I guess. The pink gold pear ex pigment is one of my faves. Also have a pink to gold flip car pigment. Lol.

Thank you. You know I need to be told I don't need another color, lol. :-)

I'm not sure if hers were the same way buy mine would shrink before I ever even cured it. It could help with the base coat I guess but I used the Gelish base coat not the RCM. I'm glad to know I am not the only one that had problems. Makes me feel a little better. I don't feel like it wears as well either but I've was extra hard on my nails today so that could be a part of it. Did my mani Saturday night and I already have a couple chips :(

Yeah, that's how a couple of mine are, shrink while I'm painting my other nails and I have to go back and fix the tips real fast a d try to get in the light.

Me three with the shrinkage. I assumed I put the foundation on too thick as I was sort of rushing through that manicure.

As far as the wear, it seems about the same to me. Better actually since I finally remembered to put some ProBond on for my problem nails. Now I just have to see how removal goes....

.

No, that was the only brand I had. I think since the travel light takes about 3 mins to cure ever layer that its just not strong enough. I may repurchase once the pro light comes in but I was really disappointed with ULTA and there Customer Service over the phone.

I used it for the first time Sunday, I thought it was ok, but not as nice as gelish. I have and the winner is, it seemed thicker, with a little shrink back too, at first I thought I was missing spots. Overall it was ok, but I do prefer the gelish. I also always dry wipe, and I used the gelish base coat.

Hi everyone, I've had my nails done for the last year or so and decided I wanted to try myself. I love the system and am anticipating the release of the pro lights cause I think they will work better.

When I wipe my nails off on the last step, some of my polish is coming off. I was thinking perhaps it's because I'm using batteries in the light and wasn't able to find the plug adapter. I'm drying the right amount of time, and after the first hand smudged I made sure to do thin coats on the right hand.

Anyone have any suggestions,

thanks,

Danielle
