I was finally able to try RCM for the first time last night. I got the Midnight Affair a couple weeks ago and was so excited because I hoped it would be an acceptable SOG dupe for OPI Russian Navy. Which is my absolute favorite color for fall. Then i saw it swatched on here and was really disappointed. I decided to give it a try anyways and while i am happy with the color i don't know if i like the RCM colors. Maybe it was me or maybe just this bottle but has anyone had problems with the polish shrinking. I literally felt like I would paint my index finger make sure the edge was capped work my way across get to my pinkie look back at the index before sticking in to cure and the end of my nail would be naked. I've never had this happen with Gelsih or Shellac before so it was a little weird.

Very pretty. I just picked up 4 different colors at a local Fred Meyer store here in WA state. They had buy one get one 1/2 off. I might have to go back and pick up this color.

Fred Meyer carries RCM? May have to take a trip across the border. What was their price? And do you know how long the sale is on?

Wow! I thought that Red Carpet Manicure was only being sold at Ulta. :wonderingWhat are the prices at Fred Meyer? What colors did they have?

Ooooo, I hope they're not all that way. I just ordered two bottles!

I love the way that looks though, really pretty.

Are you using the RCM base coat? Shrink back is generally caused by using too much basecoat. I'd suggest drywiping the basecoat before putting the RCM polish color on. Even if you think you've put the basecoat on thin enough, with certain brands I find it necessary to always drywipe.

I have 5 of the RCM colors, including midnight affair. The only one I've used for a manicure so far was A dream come true, but I've had no trouble with shrinkage on that Mani or on my swatch sticks. Shrinkage is most often from the base coat being too thick.

Here's my first attempt at loading a pic. Two coats of RCM Envelope Please. Fingers straight is outdoors, curled is indoors. Can't figure out how to turn them so sorry they're sideways!

I did dry wipe :( And I always apply basecoat clean off brush wipe off excess clean brush and wipe again. I am not using the RCM basecoat tho I used the Gelish foundation. I don't know what the problem was. After reapplying to my tips and curing it didn't shrink more which I thought was kind of weird. Who knows. I'll have to try more colors and see if maybe I'm just having problems with this one.

I have a couple colors that always give me a hard time - ACG Vogue is one of them for some reason. Hopefully you'll have better luck next time.

I tried 3 different colors and they all had shrinkage... I finally gave up and returned my whole set to ULTA, they never got in the pro light either. And I hate the travel light.
