Cool, I might have to pick up Violetta Darling then! Do you have that one? I wonder if it still fades over time.

Yes, I picked that one up over the weekend, when I actually my Ulta finally stocked RCM. Violetta Darling did not gray while curing (unlike Princess Tiara or Muse) Here is the pic of the swatches I did last night (please excuse how sloppy they are):

Glitz & Glamorous; Plum Up the Volume; Violetta Darling; A Lighter Shade of Gray

I have princess Tiara and Leading lady and they aren't dupes. Princess Tiara is more dusty looking and greyed purple, while leading lady is a brighter pinkish purple.

I think Leading Lady might be like It's a Lily, but since I don't have that one I can't be sure. Anyone have Its a Lily to compare leading lady to?

whoops I ment violletta darling not leading lady

I just did my nails in "and the winner is". It is a very pretty teal with a bit of sparkles. I am a very conservative gal and this won't be something I wear with any regularity. I needed to put something on till this weekend, so I thought it would be a good time to try a blue or green. I like them on others, but not on me. I tried to take a picture, but the color wouldn't photograph right. I did 2 coats, but I think it would take 3 to be totally opaque. If you like teal nails, you will like this one!

I think I can safely say that Violetta Darling and Princess Tiara are not dupes - Princess Tiara turns gray (with green undertones) when cured, Violetta Darling stays lavendar.

I'd agree. Even uncured and unfaded, Princess Tiara (and Muse) are gray with t touch of lavender. Violette Darling is more plain lilac with much less gray or muting to it.

So...I should be able to use Gelish color with the RC lamp? ...or even use reg nail polish with the RC base and top coat??

Yes, to the first question.
Probably, to the second question, but only if you let the regular polish DRY THOROUGHLY between each coat and before you put on the top coat. You have to let regular polish air dry - the lamps will do nothing to it. And then, do not be too upset if you get more like 5-7 days out of the manicure, rather than 2 weeks.

As long as the photoinitiators are the same (since we believe these are the same product I'm guessing they are) then the RCM led lamp should cure Gelish as well. Supposedly not all led lamps will cure all led product due to differences in the wavelength of the photoinitiators(what makes it cure), but in my experience with my little better led, it's cured anything that said it would led cure. I'm not sure how much truth there is to all that really. I'm still wanting to see the RCM pro lamp, but it's still not on the website or in stores. :-(

OK ladies, my son went to his first day of preschool so I got to browse, dumb idea as I got utterly drenched due to the CRAZY rain. Then had a very lslow ride home in the downpour, but did get to check out the RCM colors at ULTA...Had a heck of a time finding them, they were on the end of a random aisle clear on the other side of the store from all the nail polish, go figure! They also had no supporting supplies, just polishes. I showed great restraint getting only two polishes, Midnight Affair, which is a navy and And the Winner Is, the ACG dupe for Avant Garde. I'm thinking that I love both colors by themselves and the green on the navy should give me that peacock blue, I think! I must be looking forward to those dark fall colors!

I stood in front of the display for probably an hour opening and comparing colors to my color wheels :) Here are my notes!

They did not have any of My Favorite Designer or Simply Stunning
For some reason I did not comment on After Party Playful, not sure I even opened it!

Here are what I would consider the french polishes.
White Hot is the tip color
Nervous With Anticipation is clear with just a hint of pink
Camera Shy is milky pink like Shellac Romantique
Tre Chic is like ambience, shimmery but clearish peach in color vs pink, I think it’s more peach than Gelish Desert Sands, but am not sure.
Just Marvelous Darling is a milky peach/tan kinda like Geleration Blush
Candid moment is another milky very light pink, more pigment than Camera Shy.

These are ones that I didn’t have anything similar to…
Leading Lady is a medium cream purplish pink (not as purple as it looks in their pics), I don’t have anything similar, but did think of my ACG Trendy and it’s definitely different than that.
Violetta darling is a lavender cream, just like the picture posted a little while ago, definitely what I’d call a pastel color, not gray.
Love Those Baby Blues is a cream cornflower blue.
Glitz & Glamorous is a beautiful shimmery red, almost metallic
Red Carpet Reddy is a true slightly darkened warm red
Take a Bow was a shimmery medium to light pink, I’d buy it if summer wasn’t on the way out, or if spring was on the way in
Black Stretch Limo is the Black
Lighter Shade of Gray and The Night is Young are both Gray shimmers, the first is lighter than the second.

I’m definitely going back for the reds this winter they say “December/January” to me!

Here are the dupes for what I had
Ooo LA Liscious = Tiger Blossom
Drop Dead Gorgeous = Ocean Wave
Glitteratzzi = Champagne
Envelope Please = Gelish Exhale = ACG Uptown
Thank You, Thank You = Geleration Windsor Castle = Gelish Plum and Done
(Plum Up The Volume is a warmer slightly lighter color than Thank You, Thank You)
9 inch heels = Starburst
Toast of the Town = Sweet Chocolate = Geleration Hot Fudge
Paparazzi = Gossip Girl = ACG Trist
You Like Me, You Really Like Me is like Geleration Feminine Divine
Best Dressed, the bottle looked like Elegant Wish, but the color inside didn’t look highly pigmented? Would like to see this one on someone!
(I might have the last two mixed up…not sure)

Hope that helps!

I was thinking the same thing about layering these two colors! LOL. I just got Midnight Affair yesterday. It's a sort of jelly-like color too, so I am going to play with possibly doing a layer of silver glitter in between the two layers and wonder if I can come up with a dark blue that is sorta like good gossip? I'll let y'all know if that works or not.

Red Carpet Reddy is a true slightly darkened warm red

I THINK this one looks like Gelish stand out in the bottle. I didn't buy it, since I have Stand Out, but looking at it in the bottle and comparing it to my swatches it looks like a darkish red jelly color.

I totally almost got the shimmery red one though. I wondered if it might be too similar to Shellac Red Baroness though, so I opted not to get it for now.

Best Dressed, the bottle looked like Elegant Wish, but the color inside didn’t look highly pigmented? Would like to see this one on someone!

I saw this one too. I think that was the name of it. I can't remember either! I couldn't figure out what the color would look like though, as even after shaking the bottle it didn't look very pigmented!

Thanks for the dupes list! I'll update the dupes spreadsheet when I get a chance. :)
