They have been reported to NY City-Attorney General Office. 87% negative ratings on Trust Pilot, Google is outrageous as well as BBB.
Im sick and tired of these types of business practices.
Its funny how we as consumers are requested to show pictures for offers yet they provide NO PROOF/pictures to substantiate their reasons for void of original offer.

Omg I JUST got this email from them and came here to see if anyone posted. I’m floored that a company can do this??? Seems so… shady??
What if they go bankrupt, etc?

I’ll keep my money in the bank where it’s protected, thanks.

Wow!! That is hideous!

For the record, the bag of mine that the pulled the switch on was a lovely Gucci bamboo top handle in excellent condition. I shouldn't have let them get away with it. Instead of doubting them, I doubted myself. That was a big mistake.

They just made me offers on 2 bags that I submitted. The niggle I felt after the Gucci situation made me come here to see what you all had to say. After reading, when I received their offers, I didn't even read them. I just deleted the emails so I wouldn't be tempted to try again.

I came here to say this - you’re literally funding their business up front with your cash for them to use. Pay yourself - bank account, money jar, piggy bank, whatever you’d like. Between this and them encouraging you to let them hold your money for it to “grow” for a delayed cash out - it’s deeply concerning. And agree - what happens to your money?

Also we are watching these bags/accessories increase in retail pricing, and therefore often increase in resale pricing - so I’m not sure the buyers are “winning” regardless of the rebag contribution or not.

Ugggghhhhh.

I also got the email, no, thank you.

I don't know who the owner is or what their background may be, but they are trying to be the Bank of Rebag. They want you to use them for savings and growth like an account at your local bank, but with no guarantee you'll ever see your cash again. It's so bizarre and horrible. I really hope absolutely no buyer joins this and they discontinue it asap

Yup. I thought it was bad when they stopped doing the ACH transfers straight to sellers' bank accounts after a sale, instead opting to deposit seller funds to their "Rebag Wallet", with the hopes that people would take the bait of keeping it in the wallet to earn additional money and withdraw later (more likely, customers would end up using the funds as store credit to purchase more Rebag items). But THIS?? So sketchy....

I don't think the business is doing well - especially after the number of robberies their brick and mortar locations have experienced.

Ha! And they're getting rid of the Rebag Rewards program...no more tiers based on how much you've shopped/traded/sold with them during the year. The benefits customers received from each of the tiers (e.g. free shipping; once a year 10% off for Gold/15% off for Diamond; Early Access) are now part of this new Rebag+ program.

"What happened to the Rebag Rewards program? Can I still collect and use points?

  • Updated

While customers can use any existing points balance towards a future purchase, Rebag Rewards is no longer offered. All customers will still earn 1 point for every $2 transacted and can visit your Wallet for a summary of your points activity. Benefits like VIP Preview of new arrivals and Early Access to sale are now included in the Rebag+ membership."

No thank you.

We'll see how long this nonsense lasts. I mean, some unknowing consumers will likely do it (unfortunately), but I can't see this lasting. Although... The Real Real has a strikingly similar program that allows people to access items early and get 'secret discounts' for a monthly membership fee. Perhaps they are trying to model their program after TRR, which is a horrible decision.

$50 a month minimum is really steep though. I don’t think TRR is that high.
