WOW why has this thread been bumped by that girl just attacking me? I am confused as this issue is now in the process of being dealt with as i had stated on this thread THREE times now! Do people have nothing better to do than to cause drama?! Thankyou PinkSuadeSoho for being the level headed person here, i never knew a thread could cause that much animosity and ill-feeling for me typing out MY personal experience with a company...

Why would you post the above 2 posts? The only outcome is more arguing and drama.
It was uncalled for and the issue was dealt with many hours ago.

I did not read the entire thread to see it was resolved.


But beyond that...because I wanted to simple as. I may post whichever opinions I choose to so long as they follow the rules of this board.

Look, I read the first couple of posts and posted my opinion. No biggie. I did not get past the second page to honest to read your many, many, MANY emotional (in MY opinion) posts. The sight of it was daunting with all the exclamation marks, paragraphs etc.

But excellent.... situation has been resolved, wonderful.

I wasn't attacking you, just offering my opinion. And I can offer my opinion at any juncture in the conversation I choose without being obliged to read every single post you made to see that it was resolved. Yada Yada.

But as an aside, let's not talk about being level-headed or bumping threads, because if I remember from reading this very exhaustive thread; that was one of the many grievances aimed at you OP. And at the risk of sounding trite: Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

Further, I can post my opinion yet again should I choose. The only thing amending that would be a moderator telling me not to.
 
Well you know what nevgirl? - the whole point of you posting was not to give advice or to aid the situation but rather to give your (very uncalled for) opinion, you gave it, now why carry on coming back here and going on and on and ON?!
You admitted yourself that you didn't bother to read further enough to see that i was reaching a resolution with the company and was only going to come back on this thread to comment on progress WHEN there was anything to share....
Yes you are allowed to give your opinion but i think it is pretty obvious that it is a biased opinion and generally in situations whereupon all you care to do in a thread is attack another member (and in your case the OP) then members are advised to take it to PM as not only does it keep bumping threads that have no need to be bumped but i am pretty sure is offputting to new members who may feel very unwelcome and concerned at what appears like bullying from one member attacking another in a situation that i would call kicking a dog when she/he is down...
 
The thing that a lot of people seem to be missing is that i am not as well off as probably the rest of you are,
Me and my husband are going through a lot of financial difficulty recently and due to major cut-backs and whatnot this has been hard but my husband had put just this EXACT amount aside in order to buy me this bag as i had been talking about it and lusting over it for aggges now,
So for it to arrive and be faulty, a fault that in my opinion would not of gone un-noticed by them, well - that is very hurtful and has caused tears in this household,
To top it all off they want me to ship it back to them off my own back with absolutely no guarantee of if/when i will get my money back, and i am supposed to be blase about that?! put yourself in my shoes...

Just send the bag back. No company will give you a refund unless they've received the item. Put yourself in their shoes. There are tons of dishonest customers who lie about defected products.

If they don't give you a refund, just file a dispute with your credit card company.

This is what I have learned to do if the retailer is not Saks, Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman: Before purchasing the bag, call or email customer service and pretend you are having a problem with a bag you purchased. Before making the call, have a list of questions prepared to include how shipping and any other fees will be refunded. This is how I investigate a merchant before spending money with them.

Platinum, honestly...settle down. You miss my point. No one has gone on and on and on ON in this thread but YOU. I am human yes I will have an opinion and that opnion WILL be biased...that is what an opinion is.

I don't have to offer you any sort of advice. When one starts a thread you open yourself up to all sorts of posts. YOU do not control the thread you do NOT own it, moderate it, decide what is fair or what is not, or what is uncalled for. It is not the "Platinum - Gurly Forum" it is the "Purse Forum" Now of course you can think my opinions are uncalled for, or what have you...because that is your opinion.....see how that works?

WOW nevgirl you really are obsessed and invested in this aren't you??? It appears to me like you are TOO invested for a fairly new poster, same as the other poster who has all of a sudden disappeared after her tirade on here, do you not know when to leave things alone?

Yes it is an open forum, and NOWHERE did i say i owned this thread (or this board either) i am well aware that i am just one member on here that joins in with everyone else, what i don't understand is why you seem so determined to come on here again and again having a go? YES i reply because i was the one who started the thread and when people come on here and respond ro me personally (whether to be helpful or in your case antagonistic) then i WILL respond, that is my nature...
It makes zero sense to me to go on a thread that i have no helpful input to give just to be horrible to the OP, unless you are involved with the company and you are attempting to defend them (which BTW you are doing a bad job of) Haven't you considered that anyone else that works this out will be afraid of dealing with the company for fear of these repurcussions if they dare say anything negative?!
Now i had a negative experience with Shopbop, i will never shop with them again, and more to the point after several PMs from members who wished to remain anonymous from fear of being attacked by the piranhas on this thread i became too weary of even sending the bag back so went to a seamstress who did a rather good job (the best she could do) of repairing the handle and therefore YES i would rather keep the bag and carry on than carry this on any longer other than to state that i will NEVER shop with the company again and will take my business elsewhere,
THERE - drama over, you keep coming on here and bumping the thread after the fact is just silly and more to the point prevents it from fading down the page and becoming a relic, you are knocking it back to the top each time with NO REASON to,
Now i wish to forget it and move on, i suggest that you do too.
