Bordeaux is a fantastic fall and winter neutral, and silver hardware makes it look much more modern than bordeaux/gold. This is a terrific find!

Then I checked Tradesy on Saturday. I was really trying to resist you guys but I've failed. I can't wait to add this mini ricky in Bordeaux to my collection
Edited to say that this was not a color I was looking for but I came across a 33 in this color and thought it was gorgeous. I think it will still be a good neutralish color and will go with a lot.

It reignited my love for the Ricky and I've started saving up! Hopefully I won't be distracted, and I'll be able to have it by end of February
ohhh that looks like the 27! I have the 33 and the mini. Love them both but I will say I'm looking for something close in size to the 27. I'm not sure if I want to buy the 27 since my mom also got me a nylon ricky for Christmas to use when I'm traveling since it's bigger than the 33.
Keep your eye on trendlee.com. I got my 33 there for a steal.
Does anyone know if they make the 27 with the metal front hardware piece instead of it being covered? One of my slight annoyances with my 33 is that the leather at the top and bottom of the latch piece (hopefully this makes sense) somewhat wears easily.
I let a customer look at my ricky bag on Saturday in my store and she damaged the leather trying to get the bag open before I could open my mouth (where the pieces are glazed together). I was able to make the minor repair myself but still my heart dropped a bit.

I definitely plan on getting pre-loved! I actually have been looking at trendlee because of your past posts (I read through the thread again when I decided I wanted to save up for the Ricky haha)! I tried on a Ricky size at the outlets but it looks just a little too big on me, so I'm looking at getting the beige whipstitched 27. But can anyone tell if this Ricky I tried on is the 33 or 40? (I'm 5'6"/167cm!)

This looks like the 33. The 40 is more of a small travel duffel size if that helps you. I have a 33 and I'm about 5'7". Let me snap a photo for you
I was so pissed but quickly realized i could pretty much fix it so i went to highly annoyed just as quickly lol
Here’s the photo of my 33. I will say that as I’ve used it, it does feel heavy to me even without much in it. My planner and notebook aren’t big but when i throw them in it’s like i threw a 5lb brick in there. One of the reasons I’m looking at a 27.
I saw on the website they did make a 27 with the uncovered latch and lock plate but not a fan of the color. I’ll just wait, somewhat patiently. I want to buy a newer car at the end of this year so i really need to be good. I’m also getting married in September soooo we’ll see if i get a new bag this year.
I’ll post a photo of the canvas ricky tonight. They are cheaper but they’re larger (taller) than the leather 33. Personally I would save up for a Leather 33.

There’s the canvas. I’ll use this for traveling since I prefer leather bags for every day use and more neutral colors as well.
Then we have the mini. I love the mini. I do wish it was just a hair bigger (taller and width wise). You really can’t fit much in this but it’s perfect when you’re going to be running errands or shopping all day.
Spotted this gorgeous version of the Ricky on Vestiaire Collective. Not sure if it's authentic or if Ralph Lauren ever even made a bag in this style, but it looks really beautiful and luxe, and comes at a decent price. @mgwonline could you potentially use this?
