Are they heavy?Hi, this is my first time posting on this thread. I love Ricky bags and especially my Ricky 27. I know there were a few folks wondering about how much room a Ricky bag has, and of course how much of our treasures they can hold. I thought I would post two photos showing the inside of my bag, and one photo showing that with all the things in it, it does close. I hope this helps anyone who is thinking about getting a Ricky 27.

View attachment 3471038 View attachment 3471038 I have grown to really like the look of the Ricky. I just ordered and received a black pebbled calfskin, which was sent to me in error by a store I will not name. I had originally ordered the soft Ricky in black pebbled leather, which has a thin shoulder strap. Thankfully, the mistake was in my favor in many respects to and including the thicker strap, which I believe makes for a much more comfortable shoulder carrying experience. So with that said, I am still out on whether or not to keep her. I really needed a "workhorse" that I did not need to baby. Opinions appreciated.
I agree! That Ricky is gorgeous!I have gone back and forth about Ricky because of the strap too. This leather does not look like it needs to be baby'd to my eyes. The thicker Strap is rather perfect actually! Def is a keeper to me! [emoji106]
I think she's a keeper, love the leather and especially the wider strap!View attachment 3471038 View attachment 3471038 I have grown to really like the look of the Ricky. I actually visited the Ralph Lauren store last Saturday prior to receiving this bag, as I had never seen one in person. In my humble opinion the soft Ricky in smooth leather that they had looked somewhat cheap. However, they had a suede style that was to die for. After that I figured I would be in for major disappointment and would just be sending this one back. Imagine my surprise to find such a beautiful and seemingly well-crafted bag once I opened the box. However, I am still miffed on how this size 33 came with the strap that is featured on the size 40. There must have been a mix-up somewhere and straps got switched. Nevertheless, the bag is beautiful in person and strap perfect given the weight of the bag when filled. I also would like to make mention that for anyone seeking authenticity on a pre-loved, there is a tag with serial numberI have gone back and forth about Ricky because of the strap too. It's beautiful! I'd prefer the thicker strap too and the deeper grain on your Ricky gives it an added sense of dimension and luxury. The Birkin isn't the end all and be all of a top handle tote design with a flap. It's based on vintage travel luggage (actually, the original design is called the Haut au Curroies or HAC as it's currently known and it was used to carry soldiers' boots). Most "classic" house staples like the LV Speedy and Alma and the Hermes Birkin and Kelly (even the Ralph Lauren Ricky) were born from the same generation of travel bags.View attachment 3471038 View attachment 3471038 I have grown to really like the look of the Ricky.
