Quota Bag Thread

Final story - two bags per year (B/K). And quarter doesn’t matter. They like them to be spaced out but there is No hard rule like 6months apart or Jan-June, etc.

There is no final story with H, even just FSH. There are folks in the Paris shopping thread taking home two bags in the same week.
It will never be consistent....time has proven that.

Those are probably podium orders and their respective person changed their mind.
Perhaps I will plan a side trip to the store when I am out there for business just to see the Birkin in display. I doubt it will be the same spec I want. But if you do see a Himalaya B or K with diamonds, please let me know.
Try Beverly Hills. They almost always have a diamond croc and from what I have seen it's available to anyone who can drop nearly $300K. Himalayan is harder but I've seen at least one there a couple years ago.

My store should have no problem getting me the Porosus Croc with diamonds of the spec that I desire. Himalayan is a totally different game. An element of luck is required too.

I can second this (from experience). My dear SA at FSH has let me walk away with a B and a K in the same visit. I most recently walked away with a B and a C on the same day in May.

Bad news for online-shoppers in Europe: I got a call today and they told me that only 3 bags per semester are allowed to buy. I got 2 Evis and 1 Bolide before- all bags that are not defined as quota bags. Nevertheless I‘m now unintentionally on ban [emoji45].

Addition to that: there is also a quota for bag charms. No matter if it is a rodeo or a petit H or anything else.
They only allow online three per semester.
That‘s crazy as I love giving charms as presents and the ones I bought are even not for me [emoji31]

Is it is possible to buy online in the US if you are in the EU?

You can't buy outside of your country (or purchasing zone like EU) and have it shipped by H. All luxury brands seem to have that rule. I suppose one could have it delivered to a friend or relative in the US...but seems like a hassle. Also...then you would pay duty on getting it back into the EU most likely.

Also keep in mind...prices in the US are usually higher.

If you really wanted to buy more you could always make a family member an account or husband. But ya the bag charm thing seems a little crazy. But I guess they are trying to prevent resellers from buying it all?

Ok, they called me again. They apologized and informed me that petit H is not concerned by the quota. „Only“ things like rodeos or camails.

Yes, you are certainly right. It makes sense concerning resellers. However it is a pity.

I take my words back. It is NOT easy for the exact spec with diamonds to swim up at my home store or any of the neighboring stores. We actually had a chance this summer at a store opening, but DH actually did not care for that specific bag. Since I did not hyperventilate when I saw that specific bag either, my SA did not send me to the neighboring store to buy it.
I guess patience is the key. I will just keep waiting for it. For this semester, I will be taking something else that would make my heart sing. ;-)
