That is what I was thinking.... that because it wasn't so translucent it would just be A jade... I like opaque jades. Princess is my favorite one. Hopefully I'm just jumping the gun because the feel of it on the fingers just isn't smooth like my others. If it is just a polishing issue or a spot bleaching issue, that's something else. Still not happy with the idea of it being treated. The seller described it as "natural, undyed A jade" but I guess bleach isn't dye....
There are areas on the bangle that look like that to me, but maybe eye isn't as good.
You mention pores and and poor polish... does this happen often? This looks more like a pore than a b-treated pit?
That makes me feel better about the bangle and the seller, but I think I will still return it because I don't like the way my finger tips feel running over the bangle. It is not smooth. It feels like it is sucking the moisture out of my fingertips.
Oh! And the UJ small princess came! Better polish, more smooth....but one feels like there is a lip on the inside, like the polisher forgot to round that area out. The chime on these sound the same as the gojade bracelet.
Is it just that less jade doesn't ring as long? Or is it because the grain isn't as fine? Or a combination of both?

JP it more seem like polishing is not well, i noticed 2 bangles i bough from sophia have little polishing issue too.. did see some pores on her bangles too..but not spider web ...
if u not comfortable with it .. and stress u out ..better to return them ... i don't like stress out on the bangle if i bought .. i can't sleep some time just think about it ..
Junkempo, the amount of jade in a bangle definitely affects the chime. Think of different sized bells, larger size means larger sound wave length and lower pitch. This is similar to bangles, the more jade, the more resonance.

I can see the gumminess in that green bangle in the light but I really like that peach. If it were cheap, I'd be suspiscious. If it were priced correctly, I wouldn't be able to afford it. If I could afford it, I'd have send it in to get checked at a lab. so hopefully I'm safe from fake imperial jade. lol
As we can see with the cheaper stuff that may or may not be spot treated jade, I am not so smart.
He quoted me about a 3-4 weeks because he said there were other orders ahead of mine! lol I'm thinking that makes it closer to valentine's day, but I am definitely looking forward to it. I asked for a princess round, so there will be lots of pictures.
Speaking of princesses...here are my latest UJ small princess bangles. The smaller one is 51.5 and her name is Baby Jade. I will call her Baby. The other one is 53.2 and has that lip on the inside, so her name is Lippy.
They match each other and look good with biggest sister Princess. They are so much lighter than Princess, and so much thinner. I'm worried about cracking them because I'm so clumsy.

Makes sense, I was thinking smaller jade would have maybe a higher chime...like jingle bells instead of church bells. I notice that the flat inner rim sounds different than my Princess, too... how does your new winter melon princess sound compared to your other ones?
Edited to add: Didn't answer your question, silly me. Yes, I'm going to keep it. It's on the inside so it doesn't look lopsided,but I don't think I'll get any more teeny thin jades unless I can handle them first or are a color I desperately want.

I like this one, I'd wear it with those colors if it were an A jade, but I don't think I'd have assumed it was real grade A because those colors are so neat looking!

OMG, junkempo, they are wonderful together! Wow, what a GREAT set! That is not easy to make a set like that! Don't worry too much about cracking them, because the lighter they are, the less mass, which means they will not hit things with as much force. It's proportional. But, intuitively, I would also worry a little. They look solid enough to withstand lots. I've seen some really, really thin bangles lately which would worry me just because of the extreme thinness. Great, great set. I'm impressed!
I think that A/B jade can fool most people. I bet it's very difficult to tell. Hello UV light and gem labs!
