PurseBlog Article: Traveling with Your Hermès Bag

All of my H bags are B35 and fit perfectly into a Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM. When traveling I’m constantly reaching in and out of my bag which is easier for me with a tote. Plus I can carry the relatively lightweight Neverfull when I’m not in the mood for a heavy B. So the “purseducken” approach works best for me. Plus I can stuff a poncho on top.

I also use this approach when I travel - I insert clutches inside my B35 when I’m traveling (only to big cities) in its sleeper stuffed into my Goyard St Louis GM- and it’s easy to manouver that way - but I’ve never really worried about anyone stealing my B35...perhaps I should...??

I recently purchased my first Kelly. I checked with my insurance company and handbags cannot be covered on home or personal article policies. HTH
Not sure where you live but my handbags are covered on my regular homeowners policy. I’ve had two purses stolen over the years away from home and they’ve replaced the bags and contents down to the makeup.

I’m in the US. State Farm won’t cover. They only cover jewelry outside the home on personal articles policy if you pay to insure individual items. Homeowners only covers items actually in the home. Spoke to them two weeks ago to confirm:sad: Which company do you use if you are in the US? Thanks!

Hi Notorious Pink thank you for such a great article. Especially during your travel you still have time to contribute for us all to read.. Happy new year..

For me if I travel I always use my trusted canvas bag that deep enough for my B/K. And I can carry it on my shoulder without people knowing I'm carrying my B/K. Also very useful during raining time or if you have to do sightseeing, etc.. And at the airport also work very well..

This is the photo during my summer holiday. Inside was my B30 croc..

I'm in Texas and have Farmers now. But years ago when I was with State Farm, I left my Gucci hobo in the cart at Sam's and they replaced the bag, my wallet, cash that I had on me, everything. I also had an LV bag stolen in New Orleans and Farmers did the same, even paid for my makeup and perfume. I'm surprised they told you that. In my experience, your homeowner's policy follows you and covers personal items.
