I actually just rec'd one earlier this month for my birthday. I liked it so much that I went online to find another one just a little more fancier. The first pic is the purse hook I rec'd for my birthday and the second pic is my swarovski crystal skull hook that I purchased from Luxe Link.

i did a search, and read the threads that came up on purse hooks... but noone talks about the FUMI... is anyone familiar with it? is it worth the money? does it work as well as the other more standard style purse hooks? i like how it clips on your purse, but not so much as a bracelet!

i tend to like multi-use items, including purse hooks...but this one intrigues me even more!

I've always been wary of purse hooks, as all the ones I've seen previously have been very flimsy looking and the hooks have been so thin that they looked like they'd probably leave permanent marks on a leather strap... :s
This seems nice and substantial-looking, so, assuming the edges aren't sharp, I think it would be OK.
Unfortunately, I tend to use clutches and bags with very long shoulderstraps, though, so unless the hook came with its own little bag (to put a clutch in [or, I suppose I could bring the dustbag with me?]), or table tops were about five feet high, they wouldn't really work for me.

Definitely a nice wide hook, I love how it wraps around itself, comes with a pouch, can be used as a bag charm, and they have mirrored and gold version.

Everytime I go to Nordstrom (any location), they have dozens by the register or by the wallets. If you like fancy, crystal-encrusted designs, then you'll be thrilled. They're definitely blingy. They're not that cheap though -- about $20-$30.
In all honesty though, I've never seen a woman actually use one. I saw someone carrying it around on her purse, but I've never seen it in action.

I really like the ones made by Brighton. They have style, but aren't "blingy" and they come in a drawstring pouch. If you don't have a Brighton store near you, you can usually call one and order over the phone. I think I paid around $25 for mine.
