There is a restaurant at South Coast Plaza (Southern California) that offered purse hooks once you've seated. I thought it was a great idea for a restaurant to do that. My sister had her LV, I had my Chanel and our friend had her Chloe. Hopefully, more restaurants will adopt this.

JanetCrystal - I went to a restaurant in Barbados earlier this year and they offered purse hooks there - so it's catching on

Yes, restaurants need to get a clue! I went to one at SCP called Quattro and they had the hooks already on the table, waiting for your purse, lol.

Sigh, would you believe I just bought one from Hallmark and now cannot find it? If I have to buy a new one, I'd like the ones that wrap around--might be more convenient to carry.

Interesting thread. I never realized how easy these were to find. Next time I'm at The Gateway, I plan to check out the Brighton boutique being it was mentioned above as carrying them. Now I do know that if you purchase an IGNES bag, one comes with each order. Food for thought.

I have one and use it quite often. Funny thing...I was in San Antonio,TX visiting relatives about two months ago. We all went out to eat at a restaurant and were seated. I begin to whip out my handy dandy nifty purse hook, when my Aunt and Cousin...whip out theirs.:p Everybody else looked at us like we were nuts:nuts:, but needless to say....our nice bags were safely hanging and no where near a floor...yuckky. Some ladies at another table saw us hanging our handbags and began to ask about our hooks. I think we got them HOOKED...hehehe no pun intended.

I never saw a purse hook until I was at my friend's wedding in Vegas (no it wasn't a "let's get married now in Vegas by Elvis", it was a full on planned Vegas wedding a yr in advance by a church minister priest person!!) There was a girl beside me who was from Vancouver (our friends moved from Ireland to Vancouver a few months before) and she had a purse hook! I thought it was THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!

So I must get one! I have seen UK websites selling them but I have yet to get one.

I recently received one that I got on *bay for about $15. It is one of the round ones that wraps around itself. I have yet to use it but I did try it out at home and it works! I always fiddle around at restaurants trying to figure out where to put my bag that is NOT on the floor, and NOT on the back of my seat (a friend had her purse stolen that way). I hope this is a good solution!
