Hi all,
Almost 2 months ago, we sustained extensive water damage to our house. Two companies have given us estimates on the cost of reconstruction - their quotes were very similar -a couple of hundred dollars difference only, which leads me to believe that the amount quoted is probably very close to the fair market price. Now the insurance company is dragging their feet, claiming the quotes are inflated. I'm wondering what recourse I have to get them to settle the claim - will complaining to the BBB or my state Dept. of Insurance help? I would love some opinions from any lawyers on this board or members who have been successful fighting similar situations. Thanks in advance!!!
