Coincidentally, I was on with FSH earlier today talking about the color parchmain and the word is that it is a new color "especially created for this autumn/winter collection", and it has not existed prior to this year for special orders or orders by even VVIPs. There are colors that Hermes has used previously that are very similar or nearly identical but were launched under different names. But for anyone eager to get their hands on a parchmain bag, the good news is that bags in parchmain have begun to trickle in to boutiques these past few weeks worldwide.

Coincidentally, parchmain has been at our store since around March, and coincidentally, our VIP's were offered it after the july 06 podium for ordering. The only similar colours would be sable (which was discontinued prior to the double handle rings, in box) and naturelle (once again, a very old colour. Ivorie doesn't count, as it doesn't even look close to the colour of the bag pictured.

They're not about to tell what is offered in advance to their important clients - it's not the Hermes way.

Yes, there have been parchmain bags popping up all over the world in dribs and drabs all this year. In fact, there is actually a whole host of colors in the leather book that are similar, including those you mentioned as well as, for example, blanc casse and others. According to the manager at FSH as well as the VVIP staff, parchmain is a completely new color that was created as they said "expressly for A/W 2007". Since it takes quite a long while to make the bags, it should come as no surprise that the atelier got a head start. And it is also effective marketing to have celebrities and VIP clients carrying the bags even just before they are 'officially' launched.

Good for us since we don't have to wait until fall to enjoy the new color!

Oh Hell..........whatever it is, it looks like it'd get filthy in no time! At least with S'Mom carrying it! Think of the droplets of wine and (shudder) Olive juice!!!!!!
