This whole wedding was pitch perfect. So meaningful and special to be able to wear one of her grandmother's beautiful dresses and to wear such a special tiara. Even the flowers seemed perfect for the occasion - not too fancy or overdone. I love the pic of the bride & groom with QE and Prince P. Just looking at them, one would never guess their ages.

And then QE went directly to the ceremony where she knighted Capt. Tom. A wonderful day all around. Feels like the ceremonies without so much pump are more special. (Plus we didn't have to look at Andrew!)

I was just thinking about the gown, and I love how the sleeve she chose is a puffy princess sleeve. Normally, I would cringe at puffy sleeves and a huge tiara, but she’s a blood princess. If anyone can pull off that look, it’s her!

I agree with everyone else that she pulled off the fine line of appropriateness perfectly. Yes, she’s wearing a huge beautiful Cartier tiara with significant importance to the queen but it’s on loan, her dress is vintage, and her bouquet attainable.

I think I’m the only one who didn’t like the dress. I appreciate the sentimental piece but I just don’t love the look of it.

I do, however, think it was in very good taste to have a low key wedding without all the extravagance. Being a royal should mean you’re in touch with the people of your country and it seems they understood no one wanted to see a $$$$ show.

This was truly a class act. While I was not a big fan of the sleeves, the original gown is gorgeous, and what an honor to have been able to wear the tiara the Queen wore for her own wedding. Covid has been truly awful for so many people, and this wedding hit all the right notes, while still being royal and beautiful.

She may not have had the wedding she planned at first, but her wedding will be the most cherished by UK people for many years to come.

Agree. It was totally in sync with everything that's going on right now. The UK has been hit hard by COVID and Beatrice having a large pompous wedding would be disastrous for the BRF's image. I think they handled it well; small morning wedding with only close family in attendance, vintage dress that didn't break the bank and no official announcements before the ceremony itself as not to outshine Captain Tom's investiture. It was a class act.

Okay, so love the dress, love the flowers, not my favourite tiara, but love that she wore that one.

I wonder if there was some other motive to wearing, not only the Queen's tiara, but also her dress. Like, Kate, Meg, all the others -- you're not blood royalty, just remember who is. I can see Andrew's input in that.
