Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thread

I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Thanks for reading.

I hadn’t been following it much and assumed this lawsuit was the same one he came to London to testify in a few weeks ago. It is not. He really has gone off the deep end if he thinks he can defeat the press.

Harry is now fighting three legal battles against three media groups, all alleging illegal activities were used to target him in the name of journalism.

Last month he turned up in person for his case against the publisher of the Daily Mail, with a judge currently considering whether that case should be allowed to go to a full trial.

Either way it would be bad, she’s like a terrible storm. They know trouble is brewing but they cannot contain her. They can only wait until it’s over and deal with the aftermath of whatever havoc she brings.

I don't know if the US National Weather Service has chosen the names for the 2023 hurricane season yet, but "Hurricane Meghan" would be my choice for the "M's".

Not even the queen was spared... :hrmm: Harold throws his father under the bus, but is getting ready to come to the coronation.:amazed: What did i miss here?

Harry, 38, has accused the late Queen of being involved in an agreement with the publisher of The Sun and the News of the World. He says his brother secretly accepted a “very large sum” in compensation from the publisher in 2020.

The judge questioned why details of Harry’s legal claim filed in 2020 failed to include the alleged secret deal which the duke now says means the publisher accepted it would not try to block his compensation claim because it was too old.

The judge added: “Another thing that is troubling is what appears to be a factual inconsistency in the current pleaded cases that the Duke of Sussex did not have the knowledge [of the alleged wrongdoing] before 2019 and your proposed amendment seems to say he would have brought the claim in 2012 but for the secret agreement.”

Harry’s barrister, David Sherborne, said the claim in 2012 would have been “totally different”. He said there was a “draft” of an amended particulars of claim which contains the alleged secret deal.

The judge replied: “I am talking about the factual inconsistencies in the case as pleaded.”

Harry said he now understood his father’s staff at Clarence House blocked his claim as they wanted to keep the media on side “in order to smooth the way for my stepmother (and father) to be accepted by the British public as Queen Consort (and King respectively) when the time came.”

News Group Newspapers [NGN], part of News UK, which also owns The Times, is seeking to “strike out” Harry’s claim by arguing that he missed a six-year deadline in bringing the case.

Sherborne apologised for the duke’s failure to appear at court. He said Harry was preparing to return to the UK for his father’s coronation on May 6. The duke watched Monday’s hearing via video link despite it starting at 2.30am in Los Angeles where he now lives.

How much bleedin' "preparation" does the Half-Wit Prince NEED, other than stashing his daily dose of dope into whatever hiding place he uses, or have someone sew the wires for his recording devices into his jacket so they're less obvious? it's not as if he has to buy a new wardrobe or apply for a passport or find a hotel that meets his over-the-top security requirements. That's the best excuse his six remaining brain cells could come up with? Any British judge who falls for that should turn in his wig.

Just another steaming pile of BS to add to the Casa MonteShyteShow compost bin.

I just had a horrible thought.

Given that Mattel is now making every sort of Barbie you can imagine, what if they decide to make… Claw Barbie?

Would have a few interchangeable wigs and faces in different shades, super skinny legs, and lifelike hands that open and close in claw position. None of the fashion outfits would fit properly, of course, and maybe she’d have a boyfriend named Ginger Whinger, with permanent angry scowl, flocked hair ( except for middle of head) and beard.
GW comes with sloppy jeans, white T shirts, and no shoes.

Oh! Removable baby bump , mini Todger cream, and blunts sold separately.**View attachment 5770735
Does it have a hinged head?

Oh man. I cannot stop giggling at the image of Anne bopping troublemakers, late comers, talkers and other general ne’er do wells over the head with her gold stick. Perfect role for her!

Anne with her stick next to Sophie with a clipboard "We don't seem to have your name on our list Madame"

It will be a video recording of Archie’s birthday party where he looks plaintively into the camera and squeaks “I miss you, papa.”

I just have to ask, was I being terribly evil when I immediately thought "how annoying" when I heard Harold describe Archie as having "a little squeaky voice" and all the reporters writing how adorable that was? Because I was thinking "oh great, he's inherited his mother's nails-on-a-chalkboard whiny voice".
