I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Well, I never thought TIME or the NY Times were tabloids either, but I sure as heck don't trust either of them any more. The fact they can be bought has become painfully obvious over the the past few years.

Seriously, the sooner everyone understands that the news tells you what they want you to believe/know, the better. Every single one of them has an agenda they are pushing. Some of them are more in your face about it than others, but they are all doing it.

Meghan would not have liked Hugh's father Gerald. Gerald was a low key guy who wanted his children to grow up feeling responsible for the wealth they inherited. He definitely would not have liked an attention seeking DIL who threw her title in your face at every opportunity.

It will be called “King Charles.” The show will be hosted by Gayle King and Charles Barkley, get it? They will discuss the issues of the day.

And people wonder why I have no absolutely respect for the press.

I feel she was insinuating the BRF were suggesting it would be a problem if Archie actually looked black. Which is quite a nasty thing to spread if untrue, and I really have a hard time believing that was the background of the conversation because it's so pointless. So the baby comes out looking very black, what are you going to do about it? Abandon him at the doorstep of St. Paul's in his little rush basket?

Is it possible that this was the plan all along. Is this how low she has sunk to keep herself in the news cycle? Point fingers and then say you are wrong and I didn't point fingers? It was done on purpose imo, release and retrieve. It doesn't matter if lawyers are sending letters to delete some of the content, the purpose of the article was achieved. The so-called 'racist' issue is back in the news everywhere.
