I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

It could be both. By being born an overprivileged prince who had servants cater to his needs and wants daily, he was inevitably going to be spoiled and entitled. Everywhere he went he was treated as if he was something special. It’s no wonder so many of these Royals are jerks.

William was raised the same way but seems better. Would he be as bad as Harry if he had been the second-born? Who knows.

Neil Sean had a segment today about a UK news organization’s plan to disrupt the Coronation by broadcasting a nasty Andrew production.

Got me thinking what Ghoul might do. Make Grandpa Markle guest of honor at Archie’s 4th Birthday? H rushes home from Coronation to embrace father-in-law he’s never met? Sugars go into gooey meltdown about the Grandfather who showed he really cared about Archie by being there to help blow out candles?

Realllllly hope not. But she is evil enough to do something to destroy the day. I think it’s BS from her PR grinders that she wants to heal any rift. As all the documentation in Tom Bower’s book proves, plus all we’ve witnessed the past few years, there is a lifetime of data proving she is not wired to be nice.

She may not do much directly, but people are questioning what her 'allies' will do on her behalf to 'celebrate' the coronation.

Prince Harry will skip the King’s Coronation concert to fly back home to the US just hours after watching Charles being crowned.
The Duke of Sussex has told his father he will not stay for the weekend of celebrations following the historic ceremony on May 6.
A royal source revealed: “After much back and forth, Harry said that he would be returning for the King’s Coronation but it will
only be a fleeting visit.

Sources close to the Duke also said he has no plans to visit any of the charities he is attached to during his brief visit.
But Harry told family members he is planning to return to the UK in the summer.

You know I've been thinking about M's Father lately too. What I would love to see is TM at the Coronation as a guest of KC. Recall him a few days ago at LAX with his son. Who knows they may have been heading to London for TM to be fitted into a nice proper suit. Not saying he would have a role or have any importance. Just a guest seated way in the back. I know seating is really limiting but wouldn't it be a nice back slap to M from KC? :happydance::lol: Be a nice blow up if M tries something on KC's big day. Yes, I know the focus should be on KC but I'd love to see M scream and throwing plates, bowls, glasses, vases, everything around her. hehehe :biggrin:

Seriously, he wrote a book for 8-10 year olds about an old man. This was in 1980 before he was married and even then Charles was already stodgy. I’m sure his book was much better than The Bench though. :lol:

It was based on stories he made up for Andrew and Edward when they were children. I remember my mum bought a copy when it first came out.
