I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Everything sounds good to me. Charles looks way more interesting than Randy Andy or Harold. He has been described by people who know him as a kind and intelligent man, those are great 'credentials' imo.
Let's hope those attributes hold true and he fixes the Harkles mess!



Disclosure: I don't know Charles and I'm not even a monarchist, but I think the UK could have done a lot worse…

I think he went right back to California after the appearance in court. There’s nothing left for him in the UK.

He could find some friend to mooch off of. Plus he doesn't have to be at home and listen to her complain. Or he could be looking at real estate.

His paintings are nice and all but they are not special. If he wasn’t the prince (now king) he would never have sold so many. £2 million for copies no less! No living as a starving artist for Charles. Being heir to the throne made his path easy in most of his endeavors.

Though he modestly refers to himself as an "enthusiastic amateur," he made an estimated £2 million from the sales of copies of his watercolors from 1997 to 2016, making him one of the country's best-selling living artists, The Daily Telegraphreported in 2016.

Apparently he was picking wild mushrooms at his estate when the call came in that he needed to go to Balmoral ASAP. If he can pick wild mushrooms to be eaten, then kudo to him! That would frighten me to death that I would pick the wrong one and poison everyone. I think that KC3 is a bit of a Renaissance man with many interests. At least he isn't boring.

I never got that excited about Grandma Moses and look how well she did. Or the artist who painted the kids with the mega sized eyes. You never know what the public wants. Granted being a Prince was a huge leg up.

I only 'pick' mushrooms at the supermarket, I wouldn't trust the silver spoon method…
Charles had access to so many resources and took advantage of them, good for him! Harold could have done the same and gotten a superb education instead of becoming a joke.
