Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thread

I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Thanks for reading.

The Cheese Boutique is Heaven. I will not have it spoken ill of.
Awkward Season 4 GIF by The Office

I have never heard of The Cheese Boutique, but all I know is they should have sued TW for making their food look like something saved from the food waste bin.

Nothing in this picture looks appetizing.
Those beaten-with-a-hammer looking bagels look like they were pulled out from a compost bin.
Also, what's with the huge, dirty, rusty, chipped knife? It's looking like an ancient artifact not something you would prepare food with

Attention to detail clearly isn't something on TW's radar.
The caviar looks like capers, and what’s with the creepy finger on the plate?

I know there are some delicious bagels in Toronto. Those look like they were bagged right out of the oven with no cooling time. She may have insisted she wanted them piping hot out of the oven. No basket lingerers for her. Whenever we've gotten them that way they get squashed and are difficult to slice.

They're Montreal-style bagels - quite delicious actually, with distinctive taste from how they're made; originated from Montreal, widely available from a few stores in Toronto.

I'm not a fan of caviar but I've probably never have had a taste of the good stuff.

Aren't you meant to put it on the top of your hand above your index finger and thumb and eat it from there rather than having it on bread or toast?

Re the squashed bagels…you must try flagels (also known as flat bagels) which are fabulous. None of the doughy inside of a regular bagel. I’m a huge fan but I always have the store slice them because they are murder to slice. They are also enormous!!!

Wait, hold up. Is this their Easter contribution? No photos of their kids? No photos of all 4 of them strolling along the beach? Going to church? I know it’s a bit of a stretch, still I thought they wanted to improve their image  Was I ever wrong.

A food photo. After all the drama they have caused, we get a food photo on this important day? Okaaay, sure Jan :ok:

I saw them on a Food Network show. I think St. Urbain was the featured bakery. They look delicious. I was not aware prior to watching that there were so many Jewish immigrants in Canada.
