Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thread

I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Thanks for reading.

"A lot of questions", huh? Like

"What's this coronation thing, I remember when Archie was born and he was coronating, I mean whose birth is this anyway?"
"So people arrive and go to the church, then what? We pull on each end of the cracker and get the crowns, right?"
"So Dad, you'll sit on the throne? I thought it was ME and Meg?!"
"I have nineteen thrones in my house. Which one do I bring to the Crownontation--uh, Coronatation--whatever"
"We would loooooove to come to the coronation but M says she doesn't want the coronavirus, is it about the virus?"
"How does it work? Cars, people, legs, walking, I don't get it at all. Dad?"
"We're in L.A. The event is in London. Unless people carry us out of the house and fly us over on a private plane, I just cannot see how it would work..."
"How does the event work? It's an event, not a person. I mean, I don't work. But I'm not an event. MEEEGGHHAANNN??"

It's best he stays at home IMO.
How much will I be paid? Will it be € £ $?

Bravo for a great post!!

The coronation is going to be like going to sporting events at huge venues. If you are in the expensive sky box, you will watch it on the big screen because you will see it better. Plus you can have drinks and snacks lolol! I will say once again, that the greater family will be at Windsor watching on live streaming and they will see the action much better than the people sitting at The Abbey. Don't worry about Louise and James, as they will be watching with all the family.

So true! Totally comparable to going to see a live gig and people asking if you saw your idols "live" and you tell them they were so far away you couldn't really make out which one of the blurry blobs was which and the loudspeakers and lighting rigs were blocking your view. In the end you just watched the big screen and it all lasted so long your bum fell asleep on those hard seats. And of course M would not be seeing anything but a huge candle.

I hear they've ordered some new candles for the Abbey in case the Sussexes turn up.

Kate found her Windsor walkabout with Harry and Meghan after the Queen's death 'one of the hardest things she'd ever had to do', a sensational new royal book reveals today.

The Princess of Wales told a senior royal it was so difficult for her because of the 'ill-feeling' between the couples, veteran royal correspondent Robert Jobson says.

The new book, called Our King - serialised in The Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday this weekend - lays bare the inside story of the Royals' war with the Sussexes before, during and after Megxit. It also tells how:

  • Charles was frustrated at Harry's 'bad manners' for overshadowing his 2016 Gulf tour by releasing the statement confirming his relationship with Meghan but demanding they be left alone;
  • The Queen was mystified by Harry and Meghan's public criticisms of the monarchy and members of the royal family - and described their behaviour as 'quite mad';
  • Charles and William decided they could not risk being alone with Harry again after the Sussexes' bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 and would no longer treat him as a trusted member of the family;
  • There were fears that if Meghan was allowed to join by video link from Canada the so-called Sandringham Summit to thrash out details of the Sussexes' future in January 2020 it would not be 'secure'.

Maybe it was so difficult because she had to try and keep from saying something. That would have been me! lol!

KC is sharper now. Even if they show up late, their clown car will be going to BP, not the abbey.
The drivers will be undercover MI 6 guys. They will not change the route :giggle:

I think that there will be an escort from wherever they are staying to take them. No side trips and if they aren't ready by a certain time, they don't go.
