Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thread

I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Thanks for reading.

Given the recent link between Dior and H, most likely another Harkle freebie Dior creation for her to diminish by draping it ill fittingly over her body.

A perk designers should provide for her with each garment is an attached drawing indicating where on her body the bronzing lines should end when wearing a specific outfit. It could eliminate the sometimes distracting body striping/mismatched tone of her appendages she sloppily overlooks.

Each garment should come with at least one stylist (underwear advice) lady's maid and atelier affixed. I have never seen such expensive clothes look so cheap. That's one award MegZZ always wins (without having to pay for).

She'll probably demand a white outfit again as it shows off the bronzer so well. If Dior truly signed a Faustian agreement, then I'm not buying anything from them again.

I know the press is positively salivating at the thought of them showing up to the coronation and the drama that will inevitably ensue. Nobody else could possibly think it’s a good idea. They will either try to upstage the coronation by making the day all about Archie’s fourth birthday or else wallow in their self-inflicted victimhood for the cameras.

I wouldn't be too surprised if their bags for the coronation are packed since QE passed away. :girlsigh:
I completely agree. You know Meghan has been planning her outfit for months and there’s zero chance she won’t be there to show it off. This is their last royal gasp. There are no events in the royal hopper where they could ever expect to be included or receive any sort of attention in the foreseeable future. As non-working royals they shouldn’t be allowed to participate in any annual celebrations, so until King Charles passes away and has a funeral, they will be off the royal radar screen (and once William is king, i don’t expect the royal family will ever mention or even consider H&M again). So these two loons are squeezing every ounce of attention they can out of the coronation. Not surprisingly, given their utter lack of self awareness, they don’t seem to notice that all of their asinine demands and artificial indecision just make them look all the more foolish and hypocritical. I look forward to them fading into obscurity for good.

Seriously. If I ever have a wedding I will absolutely bot make phonecalls because people miss the date. I might give it an extra week to be nice, then go ahead and book seating and catering. Sorry not sorry.

You should make phone calls. I had a couple of people as no shows and it costs you money because you signed a contact with the caterer for X number of people. One of them was my SIL’s mother which really annoyed me! She never apologized either.

Harry will show up and act as if there was no need for him to respond. These two will push buttons up to the last second just like they did at the Jubilee when they pranced in at the last minute for all to see.

They should be treated just like the D&D of Windsor. Ignored.

It has to be something with a cape. Perhaps trimmed in Royal ermine? And red so you can’t miss her. They will claim that they never received the dress instructions that went out to those who responded to the invitation. Well of course they didn’t! You didn’t respond so you didn’t get instructions.

From the Express article linked above:

Delaying an announcement is the last power move the Sussexes have over the Coronation, and by leaving it to the last minute they ensure that they retain control of the narrative and show the Firm that they will still do things on their terms.

Narcs gonna narc.

If it was a wedding thrown by any of us, you could always tell them they're no longer invited and then have a bouncer at the door. In this case though, there will be media outside and throwing them out would be all over the media and it would indeed be all about them.

Probably the organizers should have a plan A, B, C, and D to reflect all the possible ways they could try and crash or disrupt.
Also ILBW is still waiting for confirmation for these: free birthday cakes/caterer/luxury gifts for Archie's birthday party; all merch contracts for parading her 'heart attack beauty' self around royal stomping grounds; the ETA for new custom-made wigs/extensions. Oh and free new plugs for her husband.

Have they confirmed who is going to give them a free ride there on a private jet? And keep it on standby so that they can flounce off whenever they feel sufficiently insulted?

They didn't have time to read the instructions because they were busy working… :giggle:

Sorry, but the red cape must be kept in the Spoiler.

I agree! No matter what their presence will upstage everyone and everything due to extensive press attention on the two.
