Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thread

I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Thanks for reading.

Well, the organization will get a lot of free publicity, good or bad... I love to support organizations that help women, but this one just made my 'do not donate to' list. :girlsigh:

Modesty is not part of TW's bio, even fake like everything that comes from the Montecito's 19 bath mansion. :shocked:

Just had a chance to enlarge the teeny font on this. I mean, PR-type bios tend to exaggerate, but this takes the cake. She is "noted as one of the most powerful and influential women in the world"? Her self-delusion knows no bounds and her stans are feeding it.

I saw an interesting Twitter post earlier today that I wanted to share but can't find it. Someone claimed that to declare as an International Relations major at Northwestern you must be fluent in three languages. We know MM is fluent (barely) in English but does she speak anything else? Besides BS?
I remember when I had to fill in an application form for a university in a foreign country, there was a requirement to prove that you could speak English competently as well as a Romance language. This was for a training course funded by the company where I work. The HR girl who was handling my case condescendingly told me: Just put a note that you are a foreigner and they will exempt you from this requirement. I shut her up by submitting my language credentials. She retaliated by trying to deny my funding using a made-up t&c.

Zed likely put in some BS to say that she spoke several different languages. So long as no one in Northwestern actually tested her on it, she could slide on through. There is proof after all that her mastery of French and how many years she was studying it differs with the direction of the wind.

:lol::lol::lol:

Meghan can do many things but telling the truth is not among them. In her book she would spin a web of lies so twisted and difficult to follow it would make Harry’s jumble of a memoir look concise and accurate.
My first thought was she missed her calling as a fiction writer. Then I remembered The Bench. Her ego would get in the way. Every novel she writes would be in the first person and a Mary Sue.

Here is the watch

I would really like to have a face-palm emoji.
These Sucksex-spawned PR stories all make the Harkles sound like some top drawer superstars, whereas in actuality, they are "surplus to requirements" as one of the comments described them.

She could be ranked as one of the most influential women in the world at this point depending on how you define influence. Just look at the number of posts in this thread that add any charity that she is associated with, whether as a guest speaker, recipient of another bought and paid for award, etc. to the posters’ lists of charities they will not donate to. That’s powerful stuff! The minute her name is associated with a charity I immediately assume that unfortunate charity should be avoided at all costs. So she has great influence but in a mainly negative way.
