I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Ben Shapiro said during the Piers Morgan interview that he read it. I am trying to decide to if he actually bought it or someone sent it to him for free. I'm going with the latter. I don't see him spending 5 cents on Prince Todger.

The DH kidded me at the time that I was going for the MJ look with this piece. I had to remind him that he picked it out haha! I still have it and the blazer. Time to bring them both out of the clothing museum.

I haven’t paid attention to TW’s jewelry but maybe she doesn’t have any better pieces? She has the blood diamonds that were a wedding gift but she obviously doesn’t have any pieces on loan from the BRF like the senior members do (Camilla, Kate, Anne). She doesn’t seem to have any pieces on loan from the top jewelry brands for any of her outings since Megxit Probably because She’s not a big enough celebrity, has not been invited to top tier red carpet events, and has a reputation for not giving stuff back. She didn’t inherit any major stuff from her side of the family and it doesn’t seem like H is buying expensive jewelry for her.

Oh no, I'm going to defend her limited jewellery wardrobe.

She has some great pieces. A few gorgeous, extremely expensive rings, a gold Cartier watch, some great bracelets and some cute necklaces. She never wore large earrings or anything really oversized.

How much can one person own. You know what they say about how to own a depreciated diamond - buy it.

Let’s face it - the only Diana piece that could beat the ring for star power is the sapphire choker.

One thing that surprised me a little was how few of Diana’s pieces were Diana’s. I was comparing her collection to Jackie Kennedy and Bunny Mellon’s auction catalogues and … she borrowed a lot of jewelers and from the Queen. Like, a lot a lot. Obviously, I don’t have an exhaustive list, I’m going off of a lot of blogs, an interview with Simon Butler of Butler and Wilson and the Style of Diana book.

Diana liked to change her outfits and wear different things all the time. New outfit - new pap photographs!

Maybe she realized wearing the same jewellery over and over was not befitting the most famous and photographed royal. Borrowing jewellery could solve the problem of always having a new look for the paps.

Diana had some beautiful aquamarine pieces that she wore a lot. There was a 5 strand pearl bracelet that had a large emerald cut aquamarine that was stunning. About 12 years ago I acquired an emerald cut aquamarine and had my jeweler put together a three strand pearl bracelet using my aqua. It was definitely reminiscent of Diana’s. So much so that when I googled ‘Diana’s pearl and aquamarine bracelet’ just now, the first picture that popped up was a photo of my bracelet that I posted back then.

I don't get these two. THEY CAN'T FORCE people to like them. People will do what they want to do. Them putting out all these whatevahs, "won't come if toxic, people booing, etc." just shows how stupid and ignorant they are.

This is the real world and they don't understand and they can stomp their feet, cry, wail, complain in the media, they can't force their conditions on anyone. Jeeze, how stupid and ignorant are they again?
