I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Not surprised. Any business that uses H as a spokesperson and features him as a speaker at corporate events automatically loses credibility. H has minimal qualifications and his main asset was his royal title which he did not earn and owes purely to an accident of birth. And he has cheapened that title with all his attempts to monetize it. He’s way way over exposed and people are sick of hearing from and about him. I’d view any business that has ties with him with suspicion since he’s shown that he will say anything and do anything to make a buck.

That’s true, also Jada wins because she took a very eligible bachelor with bounds of talent and charisma and ruined his life and turned everyone against him whereas it’s blatantly obvious spare refers to H’s dating status as an unattractive leftover.

Also I guess she gets another point for kids actually existing but it’s extremely hard to want award the existence of Jaiden(?) and Willow Smith.

She probably thought it would be like Downton Abbey, with Anna coming in every morning to open the drapes to wake Lady Mary, followed by a leisurely breakfast, whiling away the afternoon gossiping with Mama and Grandmama over tea, then dressing for cocktails and dinner, on repeat.

Plus, jet to and wallow in parties full of world leaders and celebrities, assuming they'd be on everybody's speed dial because they were soooooo important.

It boggles the mind to think of how Claw and Harold were very popular and actually likable in the beginning, then through their own actions destroyed everything they had. All the riches and perks of royalty given to them on a silver platter became insufficient. They felt insulted like it was never enough. Their goal became to lie and slander for any buck. They're so effing twisted nobody wants to associate with them. They're plain radioactive at this point.

Yesterday, there were two copies of "Spare" at.....TJ Maxx. I was surprised they were still priced at $20. If I ever buy a copy I'll wait until it falls to 2.99. Then maybe. Maybe.

So many stories about BRF Cartier watches, don’t know which is true
1. MM did buy herself one, is it the one that she currently wears ? might have been Tank Francaise in steel and gold
2. she wears yellow gold watch now , Tank Francaise ???
2. D had a Cartier watch, conflicting info about which son got it , don’t remember the watch style or color, don’t remember when it appeared … after separation ???
4. Lots of BRF ladies have Cartier watches, the Ballon model is popular with Catherine and Sophie , do they have more than one ??
I doubt that most internet journos bother to check the details color/model of the watch when spreading stories, if W learned to tell time with the watch, D must have had it early in marriage …
MM was big on Cartier jewels at the time of her wedding, wore piles of the stuff, tinier, dainty pieces, but still very expensive, who gave them to her ?? how much did she get ??

PS just found photos, D had at least 6 watches, incl 2 Cartier tank watches - the basic , called the Louis Cartier model, with black lizard /leather band, a yellow gold Tank Francaise - but the TF was not released until 1996 - W DID NOT LEARN TO TELL TIME ON THAT ONE - so D's yellow gold TF was not a sentimental piece, she had it for maybe a year before she died.
