I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

I think it’s likely a volunteer role too. That’s why I knew Meghan would have no interest in it.

As I recall it was created for Angelina. They may not have another one.

but audrey hepburn did something similar? these two are icons who Meghan would love to be compared with but as you say, highly doubtful she'd be willing to do the work (esp for no pay)

edit to say, I take back calling angie and icon but still think meghan would like to emulate her

Considering how things work in that family, I would expect that William would get first choice. Why he would want a watch, when the ring was more symbolic doesn’t even make sense to me. Unless William comes out and says something, I guess we’ll never know

When he decided to pop the question Harry gave him the ring because he felt that was the way it should be. Will carried the ring around in his backpack in whatever county he and Kate were vacationing in.

This could all be a made-up sweet story but it was when Will & Kate & Harry were close and happy. Now TW has the watch--always disgusts me to see it on her. But everything about her is icky, imo.

Audrey Hepburn was a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF for several years, right up until her death. I think Angie was trying to emulate her.

Meghan would be doing it to emulate Angie (except she wouldn’t want to do the work).

UNICEF is still grateful for how tirelessly Audrey worked for them.

TW's best networking skills are done horizontally. If she could leverage a volunteer position into one that has power and money attached to it, then yachts and Haz ain't seen nuthin'.

I think that is because Audrey lived it herself as a person who suffered along with her mother during WWll. Her heart was truly in it.

No wonder that man refused to leave his yacht after he agreed to allow Harold to use it. Harold didn't speak to his host the entire time they were out on the water. Such good manners.

Thinking about it, with the information we now have about the drug use, who knows what could have happened on that man's boat? Harold thought that the request from a Prince would soften the guy up to do whatever Harold wanted. He was shocked when the man said he wasn't leaving as it was his boat. At that point, I am surprised that Harold didn't just pull out, however being the cheap guy that he is, he figured that he would drink the man's booze and eat his food. Oh, of course he didn't ask the man directly to use his boat, he had one of his good friends do it for him.

This should be done to any and all pictures of them that are published from now on. If they show up at the Coronation, replace their heads realtime with these (although not as big ones to avoid too much attention). And every time they open their mouths, their voices should be overdubbed with the adult voices from Peanuts.
