I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

His family would be concerned if she's trying for some really large amount, like $100 million or more. Not that they couldn't afford it, and probably a big chunk of his estate is likely going to charity anyway upon his death, but there are plenty of charities that do amazing work with proven track records that they've supported for decades including ones that have their family name, so why take a chance on a start up run by those two?

From MM and Harry's POV, one huge donation would perhaps lead to others as it would provide some level of credibility so that's why they'd go after the Getty's and other very wealthy families and why we heard about Harry having lunch with the Annenberg matriarch a year or so ago.

I’m not sure how she even got her foot in the door to have a meeting or several meetings with Gordon Getty. None of the A list Hollywood types are inviting the Harkles to any of their events so I can’t see her wangling an introduction that way, the Harkles aren’t major philanthropists or particularly successful business people (I’d be shocked if they ever popped up in Davis!), and H’s royal ties are so frayed as to be practically non-existent at this point. So if they aren’t exchanging fluids, why did he agree to meet with her?

I’ll go you one better, how would they have ever met to have a relationship? They don’t have any friends in common and Getty can afford his own yacht, if you know what I mean.

Meghan is persistent, some would say pushy. When she really wants something she finds a way to make it happen. All I can think is maybe she talked her way into the appointment(s) through one of his employees, who took her at her word.

I totally think this is what happened, that the $10 million donation was from themselves. Was there not some report a couple years ago that the proceeds from the book was to go to charity? The $10 million could have been part of his advance from the publisher. They donate it to their own foundation where it remains under their control, but is then not considered taxable income for either Federal or state purposes and provides the foundation with initial start up money.

Reminds me of a university mate who argued that every piece of literature, be it poem, play or novel, was about ... sex. It made our sessions with the tutors "exciting" because we would be refuting his every opinion.

Is the good doctor a Sucksess Squat member or she just loves all those who proclaim themselves victim?

When you make your career out of looking for only one thing, eventually that is all you can see. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt because I’m sure she’s seen some hideous cases. Unfortunately, she is so consumed in it that she’s lost any objectivity.

Dr. Proudman, according to information on line, has a practice that includes court cases in victimhood. Unfortunately she doesn’t seem able to differentiate between legitimate and faux claims so her attempt to spread some sugar is sour.

She also blogs about “Real Men are Feminists”. Didn’t read it to know if she included H, but hope for the sake of her credibility she did not. In SPARE, his slag off of Pat, the Ludlow matron, and his reference to a female member of the British press as “a loathsome toad, an infected postule on the arse of humanity” definitely disqualify him as a “feminist” in spite of any claims by TW.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are both said to be 'weighing up' whether or not to fly over for the ceremony on May 6, according to the Spectator.

The couple's friends say they will not make a decision about attending the Coronation until a formal invitation arrives at their home in California.

They will then decide if they will go to the historic event together or if Harry, 38, would attend without Meghan. It is also possible that neither makes an appearance.

If either Harry or Meghan, 41, visit the UK for the ceremony, it is understood that their visit would be 'brief.'
