Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thread

I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Thanks for reading.

Well, looks like they watched the episode. Per NS, Harold is reportedly upset at how they were portrayed as empty-headed people seeking privacy while traveling the world promoting a book... According to a good source, Harold "is looking into the legalities."

Sounds like somebody wants to earn himself another episode. The “Prince of Canada” can return at any time.

Unlike other animated shows that take months to produce, South Park can turn around an episode in less than a week. Harry and Meghan do not want to engage Matt and Trey’s undivided attention.

suing seems to be one of their favorite pastimes

Oh I would love for them to sue or otherwise engage. And they might just be stupid enough to do it.
Keep digging Harry, you might reach the molten core yet.
"otherwise engage" would be even better - give south park some more publicity
apparently south park skewered Will too so I doubt any lawyer is going to try to sue them for this...unless of course the prince insists

Oooops. Looks like they aren't happy with the version of "truth" that SP elected to portray. This could be fun!

Harold, it is called satire and it is protected by our "bonkers" Constitution.

South Park’s debut was in August 1997. They’ve been successfully skewering subjects 26 years. All a lawsuit from Baby Hawey would do is give Trey Parker and Matt Stone material for additional episodes, they could even do a mini series. “The
Ongoing Saga of a Window Wiping Whinger and His Shriveling Blue Todger.”
Many more famous people than Meghan and Harry have known to just leave it alone when they have been skewed. You don’t call attention to it and you hope it fades away quickly.

I don’t know if they’ve ever had an episode about frivolous celebrity lawsuits though. Could be an opportunity.
