I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Perelman really did her dirty didn’t he. And totally unexpected. I remember when they first got together, and I thought they were so well suited.

Perelman really did her dirty didn’t see. And it came as such a surprise. Funny because when they first got together, I thought they were so well suited.

I do all kinds of superstitious little rituals telling myself it's just for fun but it can't hurt, can it. E.g. I regularly cleanse my bedroom with the help of half a lemon, salt, garlic and cloves - use the other half to get bad vibes off your body - or burn a little incense (picked that up from the mom of an old bf and it stuck with me).

The blue is a thing in Catholicism, too. They say it's the colour of Mary's cloak.

I throw small amount of dry black beans from inside the house towards the front door to rid of evil and throw some out the front door to the outside to protect evil to come in. Reminds me I'm due to do that again soon.

I finally watched this. That tmz end line is a bit grating even to a royal hater like myself lol. As to wedding all I can say is the audience constantly laughing really ruined the atmosphere and would’ve got on my nerves and it ain’t easy getting the devil herself to marry you so I do admire that effort

RE is so handsome and witty shame he never got to be a bigger star really.

I dunno, if you’ve ever met the British women who go hunting shooting and fishing they tend to be quite lusty, bold dames who seize the day so I can see there being one of them who liked to go for a ride on the young bucks but god knows with H. I do think he’s desperately trying to sell this idea his life was empty and shallow before the light of M entered it and hoping we don’t notice what a variety of interesting experiences he had and what wonderful comfort he lived in :rolleyes:

Ellen did look like she didn’t give a rats arse but then she always looks like that.

I mean maybe if I’m being really nice to Portia maybe she’s trying to keep the romance in the relationship and thought her old dress would spark some nostalgia and she did look lovely.
Though as I say I feel the mood was ruined by the audience laughing away in the background- I mean what was even funny?

If MegZ had the finest piece of JAR and a plate of Monica Vinader in front of her she'd go for the MV. In the scheme of all things luxury and certainly in comparison most dept store's so called 'fine jewellery', it's just costume tat compared with JAR.

M has 0 taste, appreciation or understanding for the finer things of life, she is the definition of 'money can't buy you taste'. In her case, it actually proves the point.

All that lark about calligraphy, even her (few) accomplishments and interests in cultural pursuits are whatever's fashionable in sleepover-circles.

The more you know! Of course I had to google Barkin's jewelry auction and turns out the flower ring Smith bought for Samantha in SATC was part of that auction. Then I remembered they even hinted at the nasty divorce via some woman in the restroom telling the ladies "He threw her out with nothing but her clothes!" or something along the lines. It's been a while since I watched the whole thing.
