I’m just wrapping up a vacation in Grand Cayman, Edward and Sophie were here this week as well!

Cayman welcomes Royal couple Prince Edward and Countess Sophie

Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, arrived to a warm welcome at the Owen Roberts International Airport last evening heralding the start to their royal visit in the Cayman Islands.

Their visit doesn't seem nearly as controversial as the Wales'. Did TW and Haz forget to instruct their stans to make the Edinburghs' trip a nightmare??

I read somewhere that he chose t for himself after seeing the movie Shakespeare in Love. Apparently, it’s the name of a character in the movie.

Isn’t it refreshing to hear from someone in the BRF who is happy with their title rather than complaining incessantly about what more they are “owed”. It is nice to see Edward and Sophie smiling and looking so happy.

From what I’ve seen, Grand Cayman seems happy to be part of Commonwealth, so that may have helped.

I thought I wouldn’t see QE2’s pic in the airport this year, but her picture was still up, I suppose because we are pre coronation. It made me happy.

The Queen and Prince Phillip would be so very proud of her. She looks so elegant and yet so approachable. Very much a Duchess! Edward’s delight is a pleasure to see, his rather shy manner is a breath of fresh air antidote to the over bloated likes of Andrew and H.

This is very special indeed. I love the sweet way he shyly, but proudly, introduced Sophie as his Duchess. Very gentlemanly. I love old-fashioned manners, grace and style.
