Just had a long appointment with my local SA yesterday in the USA. She said that the price increase dates are going to be by item type and GMs will increase on Jan 21st, home goods on Jan 17th, etc.
I think I better purchase another shawl from my wish list soon! Thanks for keeping us all posted! Do you think bags will be going up on the 14th still?
Further sad details about the US price increase - that 6% is just the bottom of a range of increases! different amounts for different items - up to 31%!?! I'm thinking (hoping?) that the 31% will be the maxi twilly.

It's because it is more expensive in Canada. A GM shawl here is $1,370, that's $245 more than the US not including our 13% tax. Even with the dollar difference, it doesn't make sense to me.

Nico, do you have any intel on price increase in canada? I was told that there won't be one in 2014 that the SAs are aware of, except in fragrance and watches.

I will ask my SA tomorrow when bags will have a price increase in order to give you an exact date! I know that it will be by the end of the month.
I saw my SA today ... bags are the 16th and fine jewelry (including silver) is not until the 19th. Costume jewelery is the first thing to go up, on the 13th. So if there's an enamel bracelet you want, get it fast!
