Yes, my boutique prepped me as well by reminding me that there was no increase last year.
From a percentage standpoint, H increases have been smaller than some others I can think of, like Chanel. Chanel's increases over the past several years originated in Crazyland.

I had hoped for an extra week or two on leather, but perhaps it's for the best, must book my
travel to Ban Island for some R&R...

Then maybe it was 2 years ago and I think a 35 B went up 300?
Well I slid some purchases in this week just to shore things up!

Chanel prices are nuts-can't get myself to pay them-
Yes I escaped from Ban Island this week using the impending increase as an alibi
Though these were items I ordered- but of course had to add a few small extras, you know, increase coming and all. Think of the money I saved😁
That's my story and I'm definitely sticking to it

They are doing it in phases. I recall that last time, bracelets were last to increase and leather goods were first. 1/14 is the first day so get your purchase done this weekend.

You're right about the B increase and that was 2012. They didn't increase the prices in 2013 so they probably feel justified to do so.
I came out of Ban island as well to get a few things this week. Front loading my first half spend but I think well worth it. The 6% increase is like another sales tax hike and I need time to adjust. Maybe by second half of the year, I'll be okay.

Exactly - and picked up a few small things I was considering anyway before the hike occurs.
Lucky my orders and requests came in this week.
Anything for podium etc will fall into second half of year.
I found spring RTW very disappointing so that will save me money.
I loved the F/W 2013- but S/S 2014 not so much.

Just saw your post here, Nico. No price increase planned in the near future in canada. Not sure if it's because our prices are already higher than others

I haven't heard anything about Canada but some (maybe most?) items in Canada are not priced that much higher than in the US. For example online, the Double Sens and Evelyne are approximately 3% higher which doesn't even account for the currency exchange any more :-s.

If the US prices do go up I can't imagine that the Canadian prices won't too.

Thanks for confirming with me Jenny. I still have anxiety though so I'm being more careful in my purchases this year. ;)

Northerndancer, this is what worries me. On some items like the CS GMs we are 22% higher than the US, but on enamels we are only 1% difference. I think if there is an increase we may see this happen on select categories to equalize the pricing between the States and Canada, plus take into account the weakening dollar.

I heard that fine jewelry would be the first to increase, either tomorrow or Tuesday.
Can you order from the website?

Went in today as well to try a snag a few last items. I think all the SAs have been trained to remind us there was no price increase last year and we should just be happy we are getting off lightly! A message from corporate no doubt. As she's telling me this, I'm secretly thinking, but your prices are already crazy so you shouldn't price increase for 10 years!!

Yes TT - Chanel price increases are crazy. In general, I think the accessories at Chanel are a bit less expensive than H but less well made and more trendy. So in the end, I'll just stick with H.

Funny, my understanding is that costume jewelry (eg enamels) will go up first, but fine jewelry won't go up until the 19th. I was asking my SA about a silver ring at the time, and she said the 19th, so she was including silver in with fine jewelry. That's just what I heard -- can't guarantee it's correct, though.
