Hi ladies...
I am wondering - if I have a good customer profile at a US boutique will they charge items by phone if I am not able to pick them up right away? I ask because I will be traveling to the US next month and was just contacted by my SA there to ask if there is anything in particular that I'm wanting. If I were to call with a wish list pre-increase is there any chance that she might be able to charge them by phone and hold them for me to pick up in February? And if it makes a difference (which I'm sure it might) it is handbags that I'm primarily interested in. I am familiar with the policies here in Canada and am wondering if I should expect them to be the same across the border?

The price of the 90cm silks on the UK website shows them as £310. According to my currency converter, that's $508 US!!!

OMG! That will definitely keep me on track for my 2014 resolution to NOT buy anymore 90cms. Ouch.
+1. I almost want to thank H for helping me stay away from the 90 silks with their price increase.
UK and Euro prices have VAT included.
I expect the increase on silk to be in the 6-10% range, consensus is going with 6%, so that would be $435.00 for a 90cm
$435 is more doable than $508.
I think I will have a hard time staying away from 2014 scarves cus its theme is so irresistible!! Hopefully new 90cm and GM will come in before price increase... 
In addition, GBPUSD got worse recently. Back in the summer: 1 GBP = $1.52ish, but now it's hovering about $1.65.
I'm afraid of the GM price increase in the US. I feel really sorry for the folks in the UK. If the price of GM shawls is over $1,200 then I think I am going to be sitting on the sidelines or only allow myself 1 per season. The price of these were already ridiculous.$435 is more doable than $508.
This. And French VAT increased since Jan 1st from 19,6% to 20%. Taking this in account, the price increase in France is quite reasonable.
I am really interested in the January 13th price increase in the USA for GMs and CDCs. This will be interesting, let alone my SO that I put in last month.

If bags go up 6%, that means the birkin increase for a 35 cm will be close to $700 without tax. Ouch.
